Broken and no refund
The packaging wasn’t damaged the tube wasn’t damaged the rod came broken.. great quality control with a clear tube it’s shipped in can see its broken. Do not buy from this seller it isn’t worth your time or your time to return a item for a refund that was clearly broken when it was shipped.

rating is for quality control and not function: broken tip
Neither the outer box, the packaging cylinder, nor plastic covering were damaged when I received the post. So I imagine either the tip broke off in transit or on the assembly line. I think it's because the faux fishing line was bundled near the tip, acting as a constraint. When lateral inertial loads are applied, I imagine this generates a moment that exceeds the tip's allowables. I would recommend supporting the rod away from the tip, but not too far such that it can contact the outer cylinder. Tt was a shame and a disappointment, as I've been waiting for this to arrive since the air quality made fishing impossible.

JUNK!!!
This thing is way to short to be effective for a young person trying to learn to fly fish it way be ok. The Orange section of the practice line which I’m assuming would simulate your Tippett section came out six cast in to practice. There is nothing that Secures this section to the main green line. The green line is a Howell tube style line and the orange is like a shoe string. This needs to be addressed by the manufacture especially if you’re gonna charge $60 for a practice rod thats worth maybe $20 I will say that the cork grip is the nicest thing about this Rod.

Good but there is better out there
I bought this practice rod when I couldn’t find a TFO Office/practice Rod in stock anywhere. The listing is accurate, and it does what it is designed for. However, after a friend let me try their TFO and it seemed to fit me much better.
