Preface: my three year old son plays with this truck on an oval track. He does over speed the truck, but generally has a sense of how fast to go. This truck fish tails at a lower speed than our other cars. I'd rate the handling a little worse than the gulf scalextric VW van we got. It's bare bones, meaning no lights or sound. I do not believe the magnets are adjustable on this vehicle, at least I don't see a way to do it without home modifications. The upside is that you can fine tune your racing skills, seeing how fast you can get it to go without wiping out. Overall my son loves the truck so this is exactly what we hoped for.

Bought this truck for my son for Xmas. It ceased to operate within 24 hours. Truck, not track or controller. Amazon were great in exchanging for a repleacement which arrived in a couple of days. however Same problem with the replacement truck. Eventually ceased to operate and shortcircuited the power transformer. clearly a manufacturing fault with this product. Buy a different Scalextric car....
