I have worn glasses and have had deteriorating eyesight since I was 10. My ophthalmologist had told me my eyes will continue to get worse until I'm legally blind. I tend to have a hard time focusing and my eyes tire as the day goes on.These pills are red in color and do not have a smell a some supplements do. They are easy to swallow and I have not had any bad reactions to them.The main ingredients are Lutein and Zeaxanthin with lycopene. These are known to protect against macular degeneration. It also protects eyes from light exposure and long teeth photo toxicity. This is a product that I wanted to try because of it's connection to a rather extensive AREDS and AREDS 2 study done by The Institute of Heath in the United Staes. I did a bit of research as I always do when considering a supplement and this one seemed to be one that I was willing to take a chance on, considering my age and concern for my aging eyes. I wear trifocals and still am finding myself using a magnifying glass to see the small print, some of which I simply have given up on hoping to read. I'm certain that many of you who are having aging eye issue have noticed that the smaller print just keeps getting smaller and smaller. Well, this supplement has all the good stuff that was indicated as those that can possibly help some people with aging eye issues,so I'm giving it try. I have only been taking it for a short time so I can't fully give any recommendations as of yet but what I can say is that this specific product is similar to one sold by Bausch and Lomb a very recognizable name in eye care and eye care products. I will continue taking Vitality Eye Care complete in hopes that it will slow the progression of my aging eye concerns. I don't take supplements lightly because I want them to be worth my time and money invested. Expect an update on this review once I have been taking it long enough to be able to have formed a more solid opinion of its effectiveness. I will say that the gel cap is about one inch long but is easy to take and does not cause any stomach upset or other unwanted side effects that I have experienced thus far. I take eye health supplements because of beginning stages of macular degeneration. The supplement I was getting from the eye doctor was half the pills for twice the money as this supplement. They both contain the same amount of Lutein and Zeaxanthin, which is what helps repair the protective outer layer of the macula. I have been taking this Eye Care Complete for about two weeks and have an eye doctor appointment in a week to have the testing done to see how the protective layer is doing. I tried these for 2 weeks and it seemed every day my sight got blurred more. I stopped taking them for a week and my normal sight returned. Thought it may be a fluke (too much screen time, idk) so I started taking them again. Nope! Back to blurry and uncomfortable within 3 days! May work for someone else (I hope anyway), but definitely did not help me at all! I try not to leave negative reviews for a product, but I wanted to warn about my experience with these in case you are on the fence about purchasing them. I do not recommend at all.
