Gotta love UV Lights for killing germs!
If 2020 taught me one thing it is how to try to play it safe with bacteria and viruses. Yeah, I have always washed my hands and practiced the basics, but there are ways we can all be smarter. We purchased the UV Light Sanitizer as a way to help control germs in areas when we don't necessarily have time to do a deep clean. Also, I am not in love with the smell of Lysol as it usually brings on a sneezing/coughing fit. The UV Light Sanitizer is actually a pretty decent compromise. This UV light is kinda like using the sun to disinfect an area. The UV lights kill the germs that it comes in contact with, and the emission of ozone removes many of the odors from the air.Notes - - First off.... you gotta be out of the room when you use it (pets included). You do not want to look into the light, and it does emit ozone... which isn't exactly great for your lungs. When I say that it isn't great for your lungs what I mean is... make sure you air a room out before you go back in there. - UV lights are effective in killing many nasty little things. However, keep in mind... the light must touch/hit the surface that you want to disinfect. Things that in the shadows won't see much of a benefit (although I assume the ozone will still do something.. but I am not sure how effective it is on germs).- Where this thing really shines (pun INTENDED) is in the bathroom when someone has a stomach bug. UV Light kills the norovirus while the ozone knocks out much of the smell. The only issue is that the person will need to use a different bathroom while the contaminated one is being disinfected.- Also effective in the kitchen, bedrooms, and other areas where you can get a *gross* vibe. We will likely take this with us when we travel by car to use in hotel rooms.- There is debate on whether this unit can actually produce ozone. The textbook answer is that the UV light that it creates is not in the range to create ozone. That is fine and dandy, but I can 100% assure you that after running this unit I SMELL ozone (its scent is unmistakable)Final Verdict - This unit works well - very well - it is easy to use and we can smell ozone after each use! I just ask that you make sure to read the directions and you understand how to use it safely!

Really bright
I really like it. I only wish it had a on/off switch. Instead of having to plug in and out to operate.

GREAT PRODUCT BUT MY WIFE HATES THE SMELL OF OZONE
This is a great item for eliminating germs from a room. It is light weight and easily moved from room to room. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. Setup was a breeze. You are told that the light must shine directly on a surface in order to sanitize it. This means that the backs of furniture and any surface that is shielded will not be affected by the UVC light. We set the unit on a small folding table in the center of the room to maximize the effect of the light. Enter ozone! The unit produces ozone which also kills germs. This gives you two sanitizing agents in one. A really good deal. The ozone will envelope all items in the room and reach any surfaces the light can't reach. I would have rated it 5-stars in all respects except for one thing. My wife strongly objects to the smell of ozone. This is not a fault of the product. But, because of her dislike of the odor, not that bad to me, I have to make a greater than normal effort to clear the room of any odor. I have to place an old towel along the bottom of the door to the room to keep the odor from escaping into the rest of the house. Generally, I open windows and doors and spray air freshener and turn on a ceiling fan. Summing up, I am very pleased with the unit.

It does the job!
I have been a preschool teacher for 25 years and every year, within the first month of school, we have numerous absences due to colds, coughs, stomach bugs, etc. We were forced to close last school year due to Covid so, in hopes of opening in the fall of 2020, I searched for reliable sanitizing equipment to help keep my school clean, sanitized and my students healthy! That is not an easy task with 3 and 4 year olds!I turn on this Ozone lamp in the classroom each day after dismissal and come back the next day to a refreshed, clean smelling school! It’s hard to tell if the lamp is working as far as germs go, so I waited a while before posting this review, but I’m here to tell you that it works brilliantly! This is by far, the healthiest group of students I have had in a quarter century! We had none of the usual absences upon beginning the school year in September. In fact, the first absence due to illness wasn’t until mid November! Now, nearing the end of February, we’ve made it through cold and flu season unscathed and still can boast record low illness among our students! We have always cleaned and sanitized the classroom at the end of each day, but the Ozone lamp obviously kicks the cleaning routine up a notch!Over our winter recess, I brought the lamp to my home and it worked like a charm at getting rid of dog odor and the damp smell of our basement.I may purchase a second one to keep at home!Highly recommend!

whoa. No question this is doing it's job
there are all kinds of warnings on this light's instructions. Heed them. This light is powerful, it does exactly what it is saying it does and you need to be careful ever looking at it or being exposed to this light. I made the mistake once of walking in on the light while it was still running and even for that brief second of exposure, I had those lines in my eyes like you get when looking at the sun. They didn't go away for at least 10 minutes. The room it sanitizes definitely smells of ozone after it's usage as well. Though I don't have th necessary tools to properly test this light, I can say that I've had sick family members in the house and I've used it to sanitize bedrooms and bathrooms and I haven't ended up being sick. Is it due to the light? Shrug, but I do feel this is a helpful tool. The only negative thing I have about this item is the remote control. Not only is that battery an odd size here in the USA, but the battery doesn't last very long at all. I had it maybe 2 weeks and the battery was dead already. You don't need the remote, but that's the weakest part of this product.
