I tried my best to like this drone
First impressions are great. A lot of features and seems well built. I did hear of some issues people have experienced, but decided to take my chances. First night out, no issues couldn't of been more happy.Yes it can be a little unstable as some have said, but it wasn't as big of a deal as people made it out to be. Battery is tough to get out and the plastic part did pop off on me, but fixed it with no further issues. Then came the disappointment. I took it out for a second time and first fight was fine. Started flying it again and the drone took off failing to respond to the controller. I was lucky it hit a tree and not a house or car. I put the camera back on and took off... Like last time... A few minutes into the flight the drone just took off failing to respond in any way. One again, I was lucky it hit a tree.Unfortunately, this is an issue I can't risk. It's either going to fly away never to be seen again or possibly hit a house, car, or person.I wanted to like this... I really did. There is no other drone with this many features anywhere near this price. If it wasn't for this problem I would give it five stars, but unfortunately this is a deal breaker.

Happy with G10 Customer Service.
I am revising my original review. I had flown the first drone only 3 times before it fell out of the sky(while switching from "Position Hold" to "IOC") and crashed beyond repair. I called customer support and they directed me to email pictures and give a description of what happened. They are in China, so their replies are a day or two later. They had me send the drone to Halethorpe, MD, where they have a service center. A few days later, they told me that the drone was beyond repair. They kept the defective drone and offered me $100 to buy another drone. I was upset because I thought they meant that they were giving me a $100 off coupon. In fact, they offered me to get an UPair One Plus Drone 2.7K Camera for only $100. This is essentially the same drone, only the camera is 2.7k instead of 4k(which is fine for me). They said that they always try to repair the drone for free, but if it can't be repaired, they will offer another drone at a reduced price. I made my payment and they promptly shipped me a new drone replacement. I took the new one and flew it, using all the different functions, trying to get it to fail. It did not fail and is a good drone. I am now very happy with my new drone. I always expect items that I purchase to work perfectly and I get upset when they don't(as we all do). G10 customer service is prompt and very courteous and remedied my negative situation in short time to make this a positive overall experience. Based on that, I will purchase from them again in the future.

Updated 9/26/16 with issues...
**UPDATE****More issues have come up, rendering the camera basically useless. More issues with not being able to switch from video to photo, the FPV downlink froze completely until I landed the aircraft and rebooted both the remote and the drone. Also, once I was done with my flight and I put the SD card in my computer, I found that instead of one single video the camera recorded about 25 video files varying from about a minute and a half to one or two seconds; most of which were about one second in length. I used a cleanly formatted UHS-3 speed card, one that has been used on this camera before, as well as my GoPro Session without any prior issues. There seems to be either some type of corruption in the software or the hardware isn't capable of handling the tasks that it has been assigned. I realize that this may just be a problem with my particular device, and I ask that UpAir respond in some way to show that they are working on the issue. Unfortunately in the current state I cannot recommend this product. **After building several multirotors from scratch and having bothersome quirks from each of them, I decided to just buy a pre-built one. I wanted it to record in 4K, have gimbal stabilization, and FPV with OSD. That narrowed my choices down considerably. Most of the options fit the requirements were more than I wanted to spend. I decided to take a chance with the UpAir One. So far it has payed off.Everything you need to get up and going is included in the box. Batteries, chargers, remote with screen, and the aircraft itself. It also comes with 2 spare props, one CW and one CCW. After plugging the batteries into their chargers to top them off, I took everything outside for the maiden flight. The first thing I noticed is that GPS satellite acquisition is a little slow with this device. I forgive it though, as the flight controller I am accustomed to (Eagle Tree Vector) cost nearly as much as the entire UpAir one. Once I was in the double digits though I started the motors. I noticed that the motors spun up much higher than I expected them to, the craft almost took flight before I let the stick back to the neutral position. This issue has occurred several times since then, usually on the first startup after charging the battery.GPS hold while in the air is a little hit and miss sometimes. Occasionally the craft will drift around much more than I am comfortable with and I'll have to continually input small corrections to maintain a fixed position. The weather doesn't seem to have much effect on this happening though. I've had it hold solid in one spot with a decent breeze, and I've had it wavering around rather aimlessly when the air is completely still. I'm hoping this is a firmware issue that can be corrected, as it does get annoying at times.Video quality is rather good, and the highlight of this package. Getting a stabilized 4K camera at this price is great! It doesn't have quite the same quality as a GoPro, but it's really close for a fraction of the cost. The gimbal does a pretty good job of keeping things nice and smooth, but there can be the slightest bit of vibration present at times. Again, I'm not complaining as what I'm getting for the price is more than acceptable. The FPV screen and OSD are pretty good too. UpAir could really invest a few more dollars into the FPV TX though. At only about 50 mW, it cuts out far too much. The OSD gives a fair amount of information, on par with the Vector system I'm used to. The screen itself seems to be of good quality, and is powered by a USB port on the controller. One other issue that I have encountered is that sometimes there is an issue with switching between pictures and video. I will try to switch to photo mode and it will immediately go back to recording video. When it does this a small one to two second video clip with corruption is created instead of a photo. I believe this may be remedied by ensuring the SD card is empty when starting out. The only time I have had this happen is when I had files from a previous flight still on the card. I will update this further if it happens again.Overall, this is a good value for what you are paying for. Sure, there's some issues here and there. They aren't persistent (at least so far), so I'm willing to overlook them for now.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
total waste of money. returned 3 times after the third time i gave up and accepted that it was junk. flew it a couple of times the first time it took off and wouldn't come back. i had to drive around to find it, the second time it wouldn't hold a gps position so i could only safely fly it about 10ft up. and the last time i flew it, it flew into a rock then took off into a tree, came down and still couldn't get it to shut down. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BUY DJI its well worth the extra money.

Ive purchased 3) of them now and....
I have purchased 3) of these upair 1 drones. The 4 k camra is better than the one on my 900 dollar drone. It has an arrow on the screen that points the way you should move the stick to bring it back to you if you want to bring it back from 1/2 a mile out. You can look into the monitor to make sure you don't hit anything but its more fun to bring it in on your own than activating the return to home feature. I have a drone that cost 3x as much, when I fly them im so worried about the 900$ I spent is flying300 feet in the air!! Verry stressful. I can relax when I fly the upair 1 because its easier to fly because of the arrow always tells you which way you are faceing when you are so far away sometimes you can't tell what way is what. Flys as stable as my hubsan 109s. But way less stress about crashing..
