Better Than Bending Over
When my son is practicing his serves, I help out by picking up balls. I can either bend over and pick them up (ugh), take the basket that he's using (not practical), or use this tube. I use the tube. It took a little practice at first. The balls didn't want to make it all the way in and I had to pound them on the ground to push them up. Eventually, I got the hang of it.Once filled, I just bring it to his basket and tip it over. The balls fall out the other end. It's so easy. If you want to store balls in the tube and don't want them to fall out either end, there's a fat elastic band on the open end we can use to keep them inside.The tube hangs on the fence when not in use. It doesn't come with a strap. I think that would be handy. If only it had a strap. Other than that, I like it.

Easy to pick up balls
These Tennis Ball Pickup tubes are really great for picking on balls without having to bend over. They are lightweight and can carry a decent number of balls. The only downside is you do have to press down a bit firmly to pick up balls until the tube is broken in. These are also pretty expensive brand new ($39.99 for an orange one). If you play a lot of tennis though they are helpful and makes picking up balls easy.

A lazy player's way to shag balls.
I try to hit a couple of baskets of balls two to three times a week, and while its easy enough to use the ball basket to pick up balls, this tube is far superior idea. Yeah, it only hold a couple of dozen so you end up emptying the thing three times to refill the basket, but its a lot more convenient and lighter (in terms of weight) that using the basket. Great product, well made, I really like the color.

Great help for teaching tennis - only the bigger beginner balls (red+yellow)are too Big and block .

20 (not 21) Ball Tube
For the record, this tube picks up 20 balls. Not 21.For those wondering, the rubber band is used to hold tennis balls in the tube after pickup. The other end has a rubber fitting that is slightly smaller than a tennis ball and used to pickup balls.It does however work well to quickly pick up tennis balls. Much easier and quicker than picking up balls with a tennis racket and foot.
