Very funny!
This is one of the funniest Marvel book I have ever read. On par with N.E.X.T.Wave for laughs per page. I read this book weeks ago and can still recall some of the hilarious panels.

The Living Nexus!!!!
This book is wayy funnier than I thought it would be! Takes a moment to build momentum, but when Howard gets into space, it becomes pure magic! 5/5 🌟!!!!!!

Absolutely Wonderful
I'm so happy that Marvel has titles like this now. I'm glad they're fun, and weird, and funny, and they're just the best. Nice work, Chip, Joe, et al.

Man, gotta love that duck. The first (zero) volume of Howard was a lot of fun, in part due to its irreverence towards the Marvel U. It was hilariously dismissive of driving cosmic forces and insistent in its absurdity, with fourth-wall shattering meta commentary everywhere. This volume, manages to strike a comfortable balance, making for a less jarring, but still hilarious read. This trade in particular is a bit of a grab bag in terms of storytelling though. The initial story about Howard becoming the Living Nexus is a lot of fun. Characters like Scout, and even the Surfer bring a level of Marvel U weight with them, and Howard gets his role on the grand stage. This volume feels better researched, and ultimately, better written than the on before. The Veronica Fish issue about Linda and Shocket was unexpectedly powerful, and delivered some healthy characterization to two characters whom I expected to be unnecessary one-offs.The Squirrel Girl stuff falls a little flat. It's fine, and all pretty funny, but the out of order placement, and really maybe little too goofy story-line made it a dull edge to end the book on. North is funny, and he and Zdarsky have a good chemistry, but it's a self-indulgent crossover at the end of the day.Really though, Howard's book is a lot of fun, and it's full of lovable characters. Thanks Chipper.

Howard the Duck Vol. 1: Duck Hunt
Trapped in a world he's grown accustomed to! The flightless fowl gets relaunched again, with the exact same superstar creative lineup as before -Chip Zdarsky and Joe Quinones! But this time, the entire universe is after Howard! Is it because he is so handsome? Doubtful. Cuddly? Probably not. But there is a reason, and you'll find out when you read the story they could only call "Duck Hunt"! Plus, the two most sensational, fan-favorite, internet-breaking Marvel team-ups of the year! One hero who's a little nutty meets another who's downright quackers -yes, because YOU demanded it (you know who you are), here comes Squirrel Girl! And, in a tale that will launch a thousand cosplay double acts, it's Howard and Gwenpool! The Duck is back, and this means "Waugh!"COLLECTING: Howard The Duck 1-6, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl 6

Not the same Howard
Back in the day, Steve Gerber's Howard was the height of satire, social commentary, and outlandish characters that struck all the right nerves. This reboot just doesn't stand up to the Howard I knew and loved (and still love). Partly, snark has new faces (like the Gwenpool crossover ), and I can learn to live with that. But the duck has really lost his connection to our here-and-now, and that was what made him so memorable. I tried, out of loyalty to Howard's memory, but won't bother again.-- wiredweird

Probably the best non-Gerber iteration of Howard the Duck
Probably the best non-Gerber iteration of Howard the Duck. Zdarsky gets that Howard is not a "funny animal" comic but rather a satire of popular culture, including comics.
