SAMSONSR880 Closed-Back Studio Headphones

The SR880 is a lightweight pair of headphones, with most of it being made of plastic, and the suspension-style headband being a leatherette material wrapped around the elastic band portion. This pair of cans easily wrap around most heads and ears, though you might want to look for specific headphones if you've got particularly large or oblong ears. The cable, while non-removable (and therefore non-replaceable) is very long and comes with a 3.5mm to 1/4" screw-on adapter if you need or want to use this in more professional setups. For me, the sound from these drivers is well-balanced, with not too much bass or top-end, but also not too much of an emphasis on the mid-range. It will likely sound different to your current headphones, especially if you're coming from any active noise-canceling pair (since these are not actively doing any noise cancellation). After a long session (3+ hours consecutively, in my personal testing) of wearing and listening, this pair of headphones leaves no indent in my head, nor any excessive clamping pressure on my ears or temples. The suspension-style headband is adjustable, and does a great job at helping to keep the already-minimal weight of the cans off your head so you can enjoy the listening experience for hours on end if needed or desired. If you need a decent pair of easy-listening, unobtrusively comfortable headphones, the SR880s might be just the pair you're looking for, especially if you can find them on sale.

As I indicated in the title, the sound was excellent. Bass was very good but not overwhelming. Noise cancellation is good for where I am using these. The fit on the other hand was too tight. I was able to bend out the wire a bit to make it fit without giving me a headache as has been reported in other reviews. For some reason after wearing them for more than an hour my ears would hurt, as if the over the ear was a bit too small. Overall these are very good.

These sounded great, however I could not wear them for very long because they applied to much pressure on my head. When I was not wearing them the sides of my head felt sore. I had to return these although they sound good they were unwearable and not comfortable.
