The Parker House

I bought The Parker House for my son but I had to read it first because of all the local OBX mentions. For reference I’m 40 years old and really couldn’t put the book down. I just had to know what was going to happen to The Parker House and what craziness Joey and his friends were going to get into. It was a super easy, fun read which I will be reading out loud to my 7 year old. It’s a little over his reading level for him to read alone but he loves Ocracoke and is going to have a blast listening to this story.

I love the Outer Banks and this book is such a fun story to share with my young daughters! They listen so closely to hear about the places mentioned within the book that we visit when we vacation there! It is geared perfectly for older elementary aged and young teens! I highly recommend this book if you have a love for the Outer Banks or a child-aged mystery story!

Love this book, we can all relate to each one of these teens. Teenage quirks, boy / girl attraction, doing what your parents told NOT to do,.....The mystery had just enough "spooky" not to give me nightmares (I have an imagination that runs like a movie projector when I read mystery stories).The Parker House was a comparatively quick read and I could't put it down once I started!!Looking forward to another from Audra (and love her Instagram posts!!)

This book is perfect for our grandson - we've stayed in an historic Life Saving Station in Kitty Hawk a couple of times so a mystery story about the area with teens solving clues is perfect reading for an 11 year old.
