Carnation 120 Sticks by Nippon KODO, Japanese Quality Incense

Using to freshen up house air before guests arrive. A soothing fragrance, relaxing to smell, not overpowering.

I had tried the Aqua scent of the Ka-Fuh line before and was very delighted with how uniquely soft and refreshing it was, but the Carnation scent was more sharply perfumed than I had expected in comparison, especially since they are very mild smelling flowers. This is probably fine for those who aren't picky about scent but I generally avoid sharp perfumed scents since they can tend to give me sinus headaches.

I just received these + went to light one up. The stick was so thin + stale that it couldn't be put on the burner without it breaking into small pieces. Never got it lit @ all. Frustrating + a waste of money.The insence sticks within it's box weren't sealed in any matter, completely exposing the insence sticks to the air, which probably is the reason for them being too stale + brittle to light.Such a disappointment.

This smells like burning wood. That's it. Most of their incenses are pretty spot on and nice but this one is just not at all what it's supposed to be. It's not unpleasant but it just smells a bit like burning wood and nothing like the carnation flower it's supposed to smell like.
