Mandolin Picking Tunes-Early Music Gems: Songs from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque Eras

I'm slowly working my way through this book and I'll keep returning to it as each of the songs are just lovely to play. This is early music and while there may be some crossover interest for Irish or folk musicians, unless you dig classical, its probably not to your taste. If you are into medieval and Renaissance music, this is a MUST buy.Unlike many kindle music books I've come across this one is well formatted, easy to read, and looks clean. The editors made sure that the electronic version didn't just look like a cheap PDF scan tossed up on amazon as an afterthought.The only drawback is that many of the songs are spread across multiple pages. Unless you have a larger tablet, you'll likely have to do some quick page turning. If that bothers you, just get the print version. This could be potentially resolved by offering a version that does not have any tablature or where the tab could be hidden (not sure if the later is technically feasible).Still, I'd give it five stars without the slightest hestitation and looking forward other titles like this one.

This is a good selection of tunes from the Early Music period. Downloaded the samples which are also well played and a good help. Would recommend this Music Book .

Perfect for an intermediate level player like me (and advanced players of course… a bit of a stretch for a beginner, but if you can’t play it yet, keep this book, you will love it in the future!) These are very pretty songs and playing them with the online music is very fun and relaxing. Clear tabs. Very different type music than I already had, very glad I purchased.

Well thought through selection of pices, some I knew but a lot of new material. The tabs have been well thought through in terms of fingerpicking.
