The idea was good, the actual product was horrible. I bought it a couple months ago and just had a chance to do it. Well I opened it and the so called button to push was snapped. There was enough of it left that I could still pump it so I kept going. Well the coloring doesn't go to the end of the comb which was a pain, a quarter of the way through the coloring starting coming out where the lid is attached to the bottle (the seam), I kept trying. Then the pump wasn't pumping properly so I had to pump a hundred times to get a tiny bit out. Well then it completely stopped pumping. There was still color in the bottle because I could hear it when I shook it. Which would have been great if I could've gotten to it, the comb broke. I took the comb off and there's was no way to get to the coloring.I threw it out and ran to the store...... I'm not happy.

I admit the info is available way deep in the website but coming across it can be accidental as it was in my case but I bought this and then found out it wouldn't cover my mix of gray and bown hair. I'm out a lot of money for a product I can't use. Yippee. State this info up front. It is obvious they don't care about the older user. They want 12 year olds for their customers. Yes, I'm being a smart ass but it's been a bad day and this topped it off. I want my money back and I can't return this because I am disabled and can't get to a post office. Not even sure it's retgurnable anyhow.UPDATED I was contacted by their support staff. Vincent spent more than an hour talking me through trying his product. It still doesn't cover gray but their online support is terrific.

/I was really excited about this product and I will say that the comb is a great feature. The issues I had first off was that I have a top of the shoulder shag and 1 bottle wasn't enough to cover it (as compared to other box dyes). After applying it, rinsing it out (no shampoo) it didn't take well to the level 8 areas (light blond) on my head but it did take really well to the 9/10 roots. However, it left a slight purple tint to my hair. I didn't wash it until the next day and everything but my roots washed completely out. I mean like gone, gone. Not a trace left. Today after a second wash with purple shampoo and conditioner the purple tint is gone from my roots and they are also back to the original shade. I have been dying my hair for decades and have never had this happen. I will not be buying this again. Very disappointed.

This contraption broke and I had hair dye EVERYWHERE! Not sure if it's because I have long hair and as I was attempting to make my first comb through, it broke or if I got a defective product to begin with or if this product is just terrible all the way around, but I personally will purchase a regular bottle of hair color and do it the old-fashioned way.

Come late. My friend’s hair type is long & brown. She loves how the color turned out. It is a very dark burgundy. My friend left it on her hair to process 30 minutes total. She recommends combing the hair first, and gently combing the color through a few times, and then using a small comb for even coloring. The color also hydrated her hair and left it a soft and silky feeling. Overall, happy and would recommend to others.

The media could not be loaded.  It will definitely tone any brass u have and came out to be a very light tone of silver very light silver tone and there is NO green tones thank goodness it's more of a purple when u lather then you wash out then color it leaves is a light silver and if your hair was yellow it will turn it white....I would say this would be more in the toner category...it does what a toner would do and does a great job at it.

I have fine hair. The applicator broke off the bottle on the about the fifth pass through my hair.. I ended up squeezing the product onto my hands to apply it (gloved). It’s cheaply made plastic that breaks. The result is not purple. I now have Magenta hair (very light colored naturally). I’m going back to Splat products.

I love that it’s not messy and really like the idea that you can comb dye your hair without staining my scalp I hate when I dye my hair and it’s hard to remove it. I really like the little extra bonuses it comes with the ear covers shoulder cover. I just don’t like the smell of hair perm. I hope it’s not going to make my hair texture hard. I just applied the hair dye so I will come back and edit my review. It doesn’t smell like it’s vegan so let’s see.
