Stewart Hall Flux-o-matic Flux

I love this Flux for my stained glass projects. You do not have to use Flux remover, just soap and water. It's a jell, so it stays put. Just use a little in a separate bowl. If left out over night in an open container it will coagulate, but it still seems to work.

I choose this rating but I expected more. I had been using a flux that I purchased at a local glass shop and it worked okay. But Stewart Hall was recommended by an instructor as the preferred flux to use. So I purchased it. Works about the same as my other flux. I was getting a lot of build up on my soldering iron with the first flux and I get about the same with the Stewart Hall.

I really like this stuff. I've used it for years. Doesn't generate all the fumes that the other fluxes do when I am working on stained glass. Washes off easily, too

Fluxomatic is by far the best flux on the market for stained glass artists. Cheaper fluxes often cause the solder lines to get dingy even after a thorough cleaning. My solder lines stay bright and shiny, and the gel stays in place and doesn't spatter much unlike cheaper flux. My only disappointment with this listing is the seller's shipping costs. The product is listed at $14.95 (good price), but with $9.95 shipping! That is extraordinarily high for shipping! Do some searching online and find it elsewhere.
