My Babies, My Twins Big Brother Paperback – January 21, 2016

I read a lot of books to my 2yr old son and wanted a good book to help prep him for when his new twin brothers arrive. It turns out there are very little options with twins and big brothers out there!I ordered the following books (all listed in the photo):- I am a big brother- Brothers Forever- Two is for Twins- My babies, my twins big brother- Two boring twin brothersI really wanted to like “My babies My Twins Big Brother,” since there are very few options out there for big brothers of Twins! However, I was disappointed to find it was printed on flimsy paperback and was one of the higher cost books on the list that I ordered. The illustrations are all felt people and it looks like photos of the arranged felt - I just couldn’t get over it and aesthetically thought it was really weird! The story is geared toward a younger big brother - which I definitely appreciated, but I decided to return this one and keep a few others instead on the list that I liked better!While “Two is for Twins” isn’t specifically a big brother book, it has helped us talk about his two brothers and learn “two” in general! The illustrations were great and I think appropriately geared towards younger children. This has been a great one to read to my 2yr old son, and will also be great to read to the twins after they’re here.We ended up also keeping the “I am a big brother!” Book and reading it to him now before the twins arrive. He loveeess this book and even tries pushing the stroller like the big brother in the book!We are giving him the “Brothers Forever” book along with a small gift for when the twins come home as a gift from the babies to their big brother.While I’m disappointed the two big brother books don’t feature twins, I felt like these were a lot better than “My babies, My Twins Big Brother” and “Two Boring twin brothers.” These two were both paperback and overpriced in my opinion. The illustrations weren’t that great and geared toward perhaps older children. These weren’t for us and I wouldn’t recommend these titles!

I wanted to like this book. There aren't many books for families expecting twins to read to their child(ren), so I didn't set my hopes too high. The idea of the book and the artwork are cute, but some of the concepts led me to return the book. 1.) The title "My babies..." wasn't a great start because they aren't his babies, they are his parents' babies. But I was willing to let that go and give the book a chance. The book does a good job of not pushing undue responsibility on the older sibling. But 2.) The boy talks about how mommy "loves me best" and that hint at favoritism rubbed me the wrong way. 3.) The boy mentions how his friends' moms are having one baby but HIS mommy is having two, which came across as two are better than one or that having one sibling isn't as good. 4.) This book is kind of flimsy. As if the author had her book printed at a make-your-own-book website and mass produced it. For the price, I'd expect better quality. I ended up going with God Gave Us Two instead. A more in depth story with a focus on the blessing of a growing family, answering questions an older sibling might have, and reminding them that each child in the family is a special gift. Hard cover book at a lower price.

This is for an adorable 3 year old who just had twin siblings. Very easy reading and great pictures.

I bought this for a shower gift for friends having twins with a 2 year old. They said they read it to him most nights for 3 months before the babies arrived and it got big brother super excited and prepared for their arrival.

Looked everywhere to find a book about expecting twin siblings.I was so excited when I found this book on Amazon !The felt illustrations are adorable & my 2 yr old grandson loves it!His Mommy & Daddy tell me he requests it every night before bed!Great book!

This book is adorable! My 2 1/2 year old grandson is becoming a big brother to twins and this book is perfect for him! Was so glad to come across this as there are not many books out there for this particular "big brother" event! Has been read over and over!!!!!

My grandsons loved this book! The twins will be born early December and they are so excited to be big brothers!!

I have a boy who is 2 and a half and expecting twin boys, this book has helped him have more understanding and he has enjoyed listening to the story every day. Not seen any other books out there on twins and getting to know what is going to happen.

Bought for my autistic grandson who is going to have twins as brothers or sisters. He loved the book and it helped him a lot.

I wish the images were better... The book is sweet but not the best quality. I found it a bit overpriced for what it is so decided to send it back.

I bought this for my sister to introduce my nephew to the idea of his forthcoming baby brothers. It is bright and clear and engaging.
