Another delightful trip to Cranley.
A second trip out to Willow Tree Hall and what a delight it was. One thing about a series is you often find the author is constantly harping back to things that may have happened in previous books. That doesn’t happen with this series, there are a few references to the first book, but none that will make you feel you’ve completely missed out on something, which I believe makes this a very good stand alone book. This time the story is mainly told from the point of view of Eleanor, Annie’s best friend and Tom, one of the musicians Sam manages.Drawn to Willow Tree Hall, where anyone can find a home as well as a family, we learn all about their lives and their struggle to find a place to belong. This is a truly lovely book which makes you feel incredibly peaceful as you read. Still watching as the hall comes back to life, a departure from its previous dilapidated state, we see the magic of this home and the people who reside there and how they welcome anyone into the family and help set them on the right road.I’m already well into the third book as I write this review, so I must get back to it. I shall be sad to see the end of this series.

When she finds out singing sensation Tom Kingsley is staying at the hall she gets an idea to do an expose on him to get her job back but in the end she didn't but her ex-boyfriend did after the upsets all was sorted and Eleanor and Tom get together.Liked this book have them all will reread them

Really good if you read the series in order
This was my second book by this author and it didn’t disappoint. I returned to Willow Tree Hall, it was wonderful. Again, just like the first in the WTH series it was obvious from the start that it’d be a happy ending and that’s not a bad thing at all.It was great to revisit all of the characters from the first book but I was a tad disappointed that this story was about different lead characters. The lead characters from the first in the WTH series were secondary characters in this story. I really did like both Tom and Eleanor however I also found myself wanting more Annie and Sam pages, lots more Annie and Sam pages. I found myself feeling a small jolts of disappointment each time they appeared in the story for too brief a time. I don’t think I would have liked this story as much if I hadn’t have had the detailed backstory from the first book. There are a few paragraphs explaining backstory but I’m glad I read the series in order.

Couldn't put it down!
Such a great storyline, I thought I had predicted what was going to happen early on but was wrong. My only criticism is the use of the word "drawled". To me it is an American expression not English but that is my personal dislike and doesn't affect the fantastic story.

Escape to the country
A lovely story. Eleanor s lies almost ruined her friendship with her true friends, and then revealing her past was a,shock to them but they forgave her. She changed her life around from the London job lies but didn't tell the one person who needed to understand she no longer was part of that old life. It nearly ruined everything but find out what happened, it's a good read
