What I Would Do For You (Merciless World Series)

Please don't bother with this.
Pouty and simpering. These are the two most unflattering descriptors of the main heroine in this book, and if you read this P.O.S. almost all the way through like I did, you will find them repeated over and over. You will read that she's strong, when her character never really does anything requiring guts. You will read that she's pretty, something to obsess over, that she's loved passionately by two different men. After all, it's a romance novel with a really shabby plot, so her being loved is the rock solid premise to believe in. Oh lord, am I ever tired of weak heroines who make it into these novels for no reason at all. No reason. So much weight is put on the past history between the characters, but those important things, which would give this story the weight it needs, are never actually crafted by the author. This is a big shallow mess, about a woman who gets brutally victimized for no legitimate reasoning in the plot, other than there is a big quasi-alpha Male hero to save her. Two of them, in fact! Dark, but not really dark, sexual without being erotic, smart without being intelligent, elaborate without having any depth, long and drawn out without providing any escapism or entertainment. Just pass on this. Reading it is like eating that one extra slice of pizza the just makes you want to throw up, gives you heartburn, and then makes you hate yourself.

EPIC Box Set!!
This Love Hurts:Wow! Talk about starting this series with a bang. There’s so much happening with Delilah, Cody and Marcus. Secrets and lies, want and need. When two men want the same woman and both want to protect her for different reasons, which one do you trust? Cody who has been there for you or the man who lurks in the shadows, watching and listening.Delilah hasn’t been truthful with Cody and she’s keeping pertinent information from him, but why? She has a gut feeling that Cody knows more about Marcus than he’s leading on. Delilah and Cody aren’t sure what they mean to each other, but both know there’s something there, but will the entrance of Marcus and his manipulative ways drive a wedge between Cody and Delilah? But I Need You:I’m reeling right now. Delilah, Marcus and Cody such a twisted web of deception. Who do you trust? The man you love or the killer you should stay away from but can’t? Marcus has had his sights on Delilah since she walked into that barn when he was a boy.So many emotions, love, lust, betrayal and trust. Usually the truth will set you free but the lies are what keeps you safe at night. You will not see the twist coming or maybe you will, but you better buckle up for this ride because you will be left speechless with more questions when you are finished. Amazing read. And I Love You The Most:What an epic ending to this trilogy. A triangle of love between Delilah, Cody and Marcus was an exhilarating ride. We pick up right where we left off and Marcus and Cody are in a rush to find Delilah before it’s too late. Her kidnapping brings all of the feelings Marcus has for her to the surface and he’s fighting it, he can’t let that cloud his judgement, but where does that leave Cody in the mix of things? Cody feels just as deeply, but knows he never should’ve fallen so hard and deep for Delilah. When the truth is revealed and we understand how Marcus became the man he is today, it gives us a better perspective into the man and not the monster. Amazing end to this trilogy and I’m excited to see what comes next.

A good read
Delilah fights against the injustice in the world as a lawyer can but life has never been black and white or fair . Delilah is thrown between two men one is a FBI agent and one is dealer in death to those he deems bad men. The men have a complicated history together but one of the men have known Delilah since she was a kid and loved her even then. I'm big on epilogues and always disappointed when the author skipped out of doing one. This is three books together so it's a long read
