Comprehensive but heavy map book
The Big Easy Read Britain 2022 is a very comprehensive map book, showing small roads and villages. I have only given it 4 stars because it weighs 2lbs 4oz and measures 15+half inches by 11+quarter inches. It has 192 pages not including the cover. Travelling around Britain in a car there's not much of a problem apart from it being a bit cumbersome if you stop to have a look at the map while sitting in the driving seat (because of it's size) but travelling by train or other means would add a fair bit of weight to carry. All in all, a great map but I wish I had chosen a slightly smaller, much lighter one, but a map book showing a relatively small area on one page, and a lot of detail, then I suppose that will entail many pages. Also, I wish I had chosen the spiral option as, with so many pages, it's almost impossible to leave the book open on any particular page.

Succeeds where sat nav fails
It's a map book - but a pretty good one, with sufficient detail to make road choice a joy rather than a drudge. 2.5 miles to the inch scale is perfect for the motorist, as is the spiral format with generous page overlap. Your co-pilot will love it; and for sole travellers, the page layout allows for quick referencing when laid on the passenger seat. Bear in mind that this is a giant format (39x30cms or 15x11.5 inches folded), so you will need room to open it out. Great for the price, and nice that it is updated on an annual basis.

Nice clear map with easy to read text
I have had one of these maps before and some pages were worn out, so this was a replacement. It is a big book so not that easy to use in the car, but everything is very clearly marked and I use it at home so the size is not a problem. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who has difficulty reading a smaller map.

Kick and clear
I purchased this , as I have just purchased a caravan and seing that this has the camp sights in I thought it a good idea to get it !Although the campsites are listed on one pageThey are not shown on the map ! Which for me was a real let down ! So a waste of money ! For me. My old 2005 one has all the camp sites on the maps so you could go strait to them, and I thought this was the same only an upto date version , sadly No.

Brilliant book. Who needs satnav?
If like me you like to just sit, plan routes you might (or might not!) take one day, then this book is for you. Huge (A3), sturdy and well printed, take yourself back to when satnavs weren't the be and end all. Great to keep in the car too, just in case ...

Large print
Bought for elderly neighbour. He said it’s very good, especially with larger print.

Veru useful
Bought to replace the 2008 version. Very clear and we've just been on hols in aberdeenshire/Banffshire with it. Great for places of interest, and the new road layouts we came across were all in already. Highly recommended. It is big, though, if you need it to fit in something, take heed of the size.

Clear nice maps
I find SAT nav annoying as you can’t tell where you are in relation to other places. So I had to get this map book and now enjoy following our route like I used to years ago. So much more fun planning a route, finding stops and diversions rtc
