I don't know what twains beliefs were but I can say that he did a lot for the American people by making them realise that people form other races are as human as your are and that people from your own race can be demons

Be careful taking the poorly placed tag off because it will damage a minor amount of the art on the back of the book, but with that said Canterbury classics always has beautiful books I suggest you check them out.

Great Mark Twain reads all in one beautiful book! I wanted to get these before the Cancel Culture Crowd managed to ban great American books. Some reviewers mentioned the small print, and all I can say is that if anyone has trouble reading these, then they really should consider getting their eyes checked and/or buying OTC reading glasses. I have to wear glasses for reading, but this print really isn't that small.

I love the book because I love Mark Twain’s work. It is literally heavy. Not sure how much it weighs, but it IS heavy. However , there was one story I have never read!! Delightful ☺️

The author and stories are classics! However, this NEW book was was delivered in a bubble bag which I do not believe is a proper protection for a collector's leather bound edition. This book was delivered with a torn binding on the inside cover! Frustrated!

I bought this book as I want to add some leather bound classic books to my new library. This book itself is really beautiful. I’m buying more of this brand (Canterbury Classics) leather bound classic books from Amazon. The price can’t be beat and the quality is very nice. I would say the only drawback is the text is a little small but not too bad with my reading glasses. Definitely not a large print book!

Good looking books. Won't find better at this price. I'm working on the whole set. They especially look good together in a set

Mark Twain dispensa apresentações. Esse é, com abundante margem, o livro mais belo que já vi (destaca-se de longe na estante). O preço foi inacreditável para um livro importado (R$ 50,90 quando contrastado ao preço sugerido de US$24,99). Vi muitos comentários sobre a diagramação dos livros dessa coleção, apontando que a fonte era pequena. Realmente, não é das maiores, mas em nada atrapalhou a minha experiência com a leitura.A entrega dessa preciosidade que foi dramática. Umas duas semanas antes de receber o pacote em que ela veio junto com outro livro, eu havia recebido uma outra encomenda pela mesma transportadora; o pacote veio extremamente avariado e os livros danificados. Precisei, inclusive, devolver um livro com dimensões muito parecidas com as deste, pois as pontas da capa dura vieram muito amassadas. Imagina minha preocupação ao saber que essa mesma transportadora faria a entrega. Vocês não tem noção... O carro chega. Pego o pacote. Está arruinado. Prevejo o pior. Mas, por muita sorte, os livros estão em perfeitas condições. Não sei como, mas estavam. Minha felicidade foi incomparável kkkkkkkkkk.Recomendo fortemente

I ordered this book for myself (my Christmas present to me) as I have fond childhood memories of Huckleberry Finn & Tom Sayer and having not read any other Mark Twain tales felt this book of 5 stories would serve me well.The cover is really rather smart, leather effectI look forward to immersing myself in the clever 'wordage' of Mr Twain during this Covid winter lockdown

I have noticed that all the books recently purchasedare very poor quality and the print size so small as to make the reading a struggleOk for a re- read of old classics but if an introduction buy through reputable bookshop !

O preço é muito bom, mesmo que adquirido no valor da cotação do dólar, quando comparado com as edições nacionais. Há, entretanto, dois pontos negativos: a gramatura do papel, que lhe confere certa transparência, e a fonte, que é semelhante aquela empregada pela Companhia das Letras nas obras de Pynchon e Tartt. Entretanto, esses dois aspectos fazem parte da proposta editorial: um livro físico duradouro e de preço acessível; uma gramatura maior, além de inviabilizar o manuseio do volume, que passaria de 2kg, também encareceria muito o produto.Dessa forma, essa coleção é perfeita dentro de sua proposta e revela que aprender inglês é mais barato do que não aprender.

This was a gift for my Dad, and it was absolutely beautiful. Reminded me of a Bible, with the lightweight gold trimmed pages. Leather bounding is really stunning. Very happy!
