Shot these into Insullation boards onto foundation walls and they rarely broke

We are installing 2" thick rigid XPS insulation on the exterior of a new house. I've installed about 100 now and they seem to be just what is needed. Before installation, they are a little convex shaped. Using a small impact driver (or probably a variable speed drill too), it is easy to tighten down the fastener to get the washer flat. It is possible to go beyond that, but even stopping at flat, they hold the rigid insulation very firmly. I have only damaged one when I was way too late letting off the trigger and I drove the screw through the washer. I bought a box of 1,000 and may run a little close on quantity before the house is complete. If so, there's a box of 250 listed so I'll buy more.

I have just about used up the 2000 I purchased, putting 2in polyiso up as continuous insulation. I have used both nails (16d) and screws for both single and double layers of polyiso. These are pricey but the prongs are a key feature I like -- I could preplace the washer onto the polyiso. They are very durable -- I have never had one that broke. The only downside was that some 6 and 7 inch spikes are too stout for the washers so I had to manually drill out the center. I am averaging 6-9 washers per foam board BTW

These things are great for securing exterior ridged insulation to a wall. They work incredibly well.

Works exactly as described and seen in the you tube video, great product. We've used it on rigid mineral wool and poly iso, works great on both.

Worked very well and would recommend them to anyone.
