Perfect fit
I use 9oz jars with a lug/one piece lid. The down spout is shorter than the plastic starter kit funnel so it leaves the rim of the jar CLEAN!! Probably because using these 9oz jars I fill just to the bottom edge of the funnel and it measures out a perfect 1/2” head space. So no smearing jam up the inside of the jar. The strainer is great for pickles if you’ve cooked brine with unbundled spices!

Wide Mouth Canning Funnel
This funnel is so useful in canning and it also has other uses. I like it a lot and am using it a lot.

Does not work for nalgene bottles
I carefully measured my nalgene bottle that I use for soylent and was certain that this funnel would go inside the lip but I was WRONG. This thing is exactly the same diameter so it will sit right on top of the nalgene bottle mouth. Technically you can try to hold it in place and push your product into the bottle but it always nudges a little and you wind up spilling. So this was useless for my purposes.It's a decent funnel, but the listed measurements were off and it wasted my money so 2 stars.

Essential if you're using mason jars for anything
Been struggling for years to fill mason jars quickly and cleanly. This made it easy.

Made blueberry jam today. Was a big help for keeping the top of the jars clean going in.

Less mess
This funnel makes it easy to fill wide mouth jars and miscellaneous other jars without making a huge mess all over your counter. The removable screen is an ice option.

it works well but i could have purchased it at a fraction of the cost at the Dollar Store for 4$ rather than the17$ dollars i spent ordering through Amazon.
