Love the lights. The remote is a great way to change the colors and set to your liking. Installation was pretty easy. If you need to connect more lights you have to get the piece that connects them separately. Overall I am pleased with the GUPUP lights. The only issue I faced was that there is some confusion with the lights that I got which is the 100ft but it only says 30ft so you get two rolls and it’s only 60ft not 100ft and it’s not in the same box as pictured. But overall, the lights are great for the price and I am happy.

I needed to add some lighting to the underside of a retractable deck awning and thought that this set would do the trick. I attached the lights temporarily by using masking tape and was pleased to see that one 50 ft roll exactly fit my needs. I intended to remove the masking tape and adhere them with the self-stick but the masking tape continues to hold the lights after a couple of months, so maybe I'll just wait until next year. These light won't serve as security lights but but are an attractive source of 'mood' lighting. I don't understand LCD technology but it seems like there are dozens of colors that can be selected, and a choice of flashes, dims, etc. Actually more choices than I need but there's got to be a combination to fit everyone. If I want to double the brightness I suppose that I could string the second 50 ft roll along with the first. The remote works fine if you're in front of the receiver. I haven't tried linking it to my smartphone to sync with music.

I like these LED strips but I will probably have to buy a different set. On a 5 star scale they are 4 due to ease of use and overall colors, however the music mode leaves much to be desired and the feasibility to find connectors is tough.These strips are 8mm while the average connector is 10 mm. This will cause changes in the colors where you put the connectors, as well as endless frustration. If you do get connectors a key point will be to put the strips in the connectors first before attaching to the wall. That way you can ensure that the lighting stays consistent. Thus, EMPHASIS buy the right connectors. Then ensure proper light connection before adhering to the wall.If you have issues adhering to the wall, clean your surface once more and dry it again. I found that when I had adhesion issues it was because there was either some cleaning solution or dust left over. Once you do that, they should stick properly with no issue.Colors are consistent when the connection is good. However, with the music function I found that the light did not beat at the tempo of the music and would sometimes just be dark with pops of light. Remote wise I love that I can control it by my phone. As I tend to forget where I put controls, just a bad habit but a habit none the less.Overall, it was a learning experience for me and for the price, it is an excellent choice. However if you want to go more elaborate with your lighting experience I would suggest a different brand.

I bought this as a replacement for one I had. It works beautifully. The LEDS are bright and it's easy to apply.
