Exact replacement for my boat. Simple to remove the old one, and easy to install the new one.

I had to drill a small hole through the plastic connections and metal threaded ends to install a tension pin to hold these together.

Works well for commercial use, well made holds up well.

Two of the cargo bin doors on our old Fleetwood Bounder had gas struts that would not hold them up. These were a perfect replacement. Very easy to switch out once you know the trick of using a flat-blade screwdriver to pry the spring of the old strut to release it from the mounting knob. Installation is very simple by just pushing the new strut onto the knob, this takes a bit of effort but tools or a hammer should not be required to install. Make sure you get the correct length strut AND the proper strength. The 40Lb struts were perfect for our bounder but larger, heavier doors may require higher strength struts.

These work great on our RV. Snap right on but ONLY on the smaller compartments. The longer doors are too heavy to hold them up. I think we need those rated for 60 lbs. If they came with the ball connection, I’d add another one so there’d be two. But they’re sold as replacements and don’t come with the ball end. Otherwise, they work fine. I’d buy again.

Easy install and excellent $$

I used the number on the old worn out struts to order these. They fit perfectly, and we're very easy to install.They hold up the front seat in my Mastercraft boat, so I can get into the bow. They have worked consistently, even in rough water.

Worked for what I needed

If I could give less than one star I would! I ordered these struts to replace existing struts on basement storage on my 2015 Navion iQ. The new ones are weaker and worse than the struts currently on my coach, the new struts only have enough resistance to hold the compartment door open about half way. Of the four struts ordered, I only opened one, yet I am told that none can be returned for credit. And they weren't cheap! Not happy at all with this poor product and even worse customer service (or the lack there of).

Great Fit and easy mto install

Order up a weight, these are no where near as strong as the originals on the leer cap. Had to retrain myself not to slam the cap
