These worked well for our newly constructed multiple mailbox posts. Many neighbors have used metal post caps which deteriorate over time. I am confident these will outlast the metal ones While protecting the tops of the posts. Because of pointed design at top I am not seeing birds sitting on posts, which can present issuesThe caps are a snug fit and were gently tamped into position. My neighbors are impressed with the end product (posts/black mailboxes/black post caps)
