Unfortunately unless this has changed recently Schwarzkopf as a company cannot be classed as cruelty free. They have not done animal testing in the UK/EU for many years but the caveat to true cruelty free status lies with if they sell/manufacture their products within Mainland China. By law Mainland China are still testing products on animals, despite intervention from UK/EU and other countries to stop. Whilst companies continue to allow them to test for their country to produce it, they will not be deemed cruelty free. As for true Cruelty free/Vegan brands you're best doing a search on Peta because many professional brands will be in the same situation.
