I run a thrift store and counterfeit currency is always a concern. The Counterfeit Detector Pen ensures that the bill is printed on real currency paper. This gives me confidence that no false bills printed on a home or office printer on regular paper will get past my cashiers.It's important to still check for the security strip embedded in the bill as well as the water mark. Just because it is real currency paper no longer means it's a real $100 or $50 bill. Lately we've had a rash of fake $50's & $100's in the area. The criminals take a $1.00 bill and wash it with fabric softener. Then they print a $50 or $100 over it. This is why the Counterfeit Detector Pen alone is not enough. It's still real currency so it passes the Pen test. Always look for the security strip and the water mark to be sure.
