I use reviews as part of my decision making process when it comes to which products I buy, but I'm no stranger to looking forward to trying something that has rave reviews only to find it doesn't work for me. I end up returning a lot of products (the personnel at two different UPS stores know me by name). I was so afraid that would be the case with this lemon balm and so desperate for it not to be!I needn't have worried. This stuff works like a dream. Granted, it didn't completely heal the sore within a couple of days like some others have reported, but with frequent applications there is no itching and no pain and that makes it a game-changer for me. I think in my case it's just going to keep the discomfort at bay for the week or so that it usually takes to heal. Not quite what I hoped for but quite good enough.The texture is very gritty. I smooth it by putting a tiny bit on my hand and pressing on it with my finger until it melts, then applying it with that same finger. I don't feel any grittiness once it's applied. The scent is a delightful lemony aroma. I was a little leery to put something that smells like citric acid on a sore, but it doesn't burn at all like (apparently) another product I almost bought. Just after it's applied there is a slight sort of astringent coolness, so the first time I braced for it to burn, but it doesn't.All in all, I'm extremely happy with this product. It has ended a lot of pain and suffering. The only issue (and for which I gave "Value for Money" three stars) is that it is more expensive than a couple of other lemon balm products I can see. It's nothing that's going to break the bank, though, and I'll continue to pay a little more for something that I know works. Plus, I love that it's made in the U.S.A.

This product comes in a smaller container, but is mighty in application! You don’t need a lot to get the job done as it is greasy and will spread across well with just a small amount. It is also strong smelling with a scent identical to an OFF candle—so much so that I imagine this product would effectively ward off mosquitos as well.In my experience using this, it has worked quick to significantly reduce the rash, skin lesions, and itching that came about with a case of shingles. I had been dealing with it for 3 weeks, and the ever present symptoms were slow to disappear/heal. My only relief came from oral antiviral meds which did an ok job to prevent blisters and reduce some of the nerve pains, but couldn’t do enough to treat any itching. I also needed some other remedy to slow down lesion growths.Fast forward to finding this product on here. I received it in the evening and immediately went to battle with it. I applied the salve onto the affected area, including 2 new lesions that were developing into full form on my body. I was relentless with the stuff and spent the waking hours of the night, and into the next full day applying a thin layer every 2-4 hours.After 24 hours, much of the redness cleared, and I could see normal skin again where some of the rash had been! The itching calmed down, and unless I accidentally brushed across the affected areas, there was minimal presence of it. Impressively, the 2 new lesions that were developing got leveled to become no more than a discolored skin surface spot!This has been the best product to combat a condition like mine, and I would recommend it to anyone needing some relief, especially for shingles!

I experienced IMMEDIATE relief from this balm! I have an irritation from pregnancy I presume, and nothing else has worked so fast. Not only is this product wonderful, but the company's customer service is AAA+. I love supporting those that care about their customers. Thank you UR

The smell is very strong but the product seems to do what I wanted it to do. I have used it on cold sores, cracked skin, little sores that I’m not even sure what they are and a couple big bites and it helps. A bit pricey but I’ve only have to use a very small amount each time.

As many reviews have stated, this product ABSOLUTELY WORKS to immediately reduce the pain of Shingles, HSV1 and HSV2 (i.e. cold sores and herpes). You can use it on any part of the body, it's fine. It will cut your healing time down dramatically AND you can use it in conjunction with other treatments. That being said, I want to make sure those suffering understand the product and WHY it works - as well as additional steps to take. FIRST - "LEMON BALM" IS A PLANT / HERB. This Salve (and others like it) contain Lemon Balm, the herb. It has a lemon / citronella scent (which is why the herb was named "Lemon Balm"). This is confusing at first, because of the lemon scent and the word balm - so I want to make sure everyone understands this is NOT A BALM WITH LEMONS IN IT. The reason this is important is....YOU CAN TAKE LEMON BALM CAPSULES OR TEA AND HAVE AN EVEN FASTER RELIEF (use it with this salve, you'll be healed in no time!). Lemon Balm Capsules & Tea are available on Amazon, or at any health food store. They are typically marketed as a Sleep Aid (which they work for that also - take only before bed). But Lemon Balm is also clearly a strong anti-viral (though the medicos don't bother to study this - they'd rather sell things produced by Big Pharma). I was prompted to write this review by a woman who stated she was using the salve for her son, and how expensive it is to treat a big area. Well, have him take a bath in Lemon Balm Tea first, or drink it before bed. Then apply the salve and see how much quicker you get results!

Smells amazing

Gets the job done. Smells like citronella though due to mixing of tea tree and lemon balm.
