Nice sound
Product arrived in perfect shape with instructions for install which were easy to follow. I've read other reviews which characterized this exhaust as a bit deeper than stock, but not obnoxiously loud. I'd agree with that in regards to the sound on my 2007 Avalanche. When you punch it, you know its not stock under there. I installed this, along with a K&N filter, and a programer to give me a little extra power. The install went fine. The instructions were easy to follow and as other reviewers have noted, the hardest part is getting the old exhaust off. I used a sawsall to cut the old one just in front and behind the rear axle. The Gibson exhaust came with all the necessary parts and clamps. Everything fit perfect. I am not a mechanic by any means....I can change oil, plugs, wires, minor stuff. This was a fun morning project and the truck sounds great. One other thing, the Amazon photo shows dark tips on the exhaust. This model is stainless, and comes with polished tips. Check the Gibson website for more photos.

2009 Chevy Avalanche
This product was very easy to install and sounds very good, just enough rumble for me. I only had to get a 3” clamp for the adopter. Only thing I didn’t like is that I had to cut off my stock exhaust. *2009 Chevy Avalanche*

Nice Exhaust - May require extra parts and additional modification.
I like this exhaust system. The exhaust tips are polished Stainless (looks like chrome), not black as the picture shows. I installed this system on my 2010 Chevy Avalanche LTZ. This year has a flex joint and a band clamp configuration that is replaced with an adapter that comes with the system. It also requires that the flange be cut of the front pipe and also an additional 8 inches of pipe. The 8 inches was not enough in my case, and after attempting to hang the front pipe and heavy muffler, I had to bring it down again and cut another 1-1/4" off to get the hangers on the pipe to align with the hangers on the frame. Also, the system did not come with a new band clamp and the instructions stated to re-use the existing one. That was frustrating due to the bolt breaking off while attempting to remove it from the clamp. I have to drill out the broken bolt and put in a new one. For the cost of this system, they should have included a new clamp in my opinion. Apart from that issue and cutting more material from the front pipe, the only other issue where the instructions. The pictures in the instructions (paper) are too small to see the detail. So, I visited Gibson's web site and found a PDF document of the instructions. I was able to zoom into the photos on my computer to see more detail. I would suggest they post full photos on their website for better detail. The sound is not loud, but you know it is not stock and the fitment of the tailpipes and polished end pipes is very nice. The sound does not drone on the highway and you barely know it is there from inside the cab. It sounds nice outside and has a nice performance note to it. I live in the rust belt, so the stainless should last for a very long time.

Nice Exhaust, but More Difficult to Install than Expected
Today I installed this exhaust system on my 2012 Chevy Suburban. It was a little more difficult than I expected, but it ended up going on. I had to cut an additional inch off the head pipe. 8" is not enough. I'm guessing 9'-9.5" is what's really required. I also expected a little more aggressive exhaust note, but it's definitely better than stock.
