Mixed review Updated
UPDATE So Kate naturals Tapioca caused a weird numbing sensation on the right half of my mouth the next day after eating it. After that ANY Tapioca starch even that which is in a gluten free flour I use also caused it! One that I already used half of. So that was really weird. So did this one. BUT after a month and a half of not using ANY Tapioca. I tried this again! LIKE MAGIC nothing happened! Hurray. So I had come and change my review! This works just fine for me! Today I am going to try frying with it. I hope the weird numbing doesn't come back!Once again I tried another organic tapioca starch. First time I just a Tbs in stir fry NO bad reaction. Second I used it to fry chicken. Came out excellent but I had the weird numbing sensation the next day. I do not understand why my body is reacting so badly to this product. I get a weird numbing sensation on the right side of my mouth as if I had been to the dentist, along with my right thumb. It is freakishly weird! If I don't us it no weird sensation. Go back use it again numb comes back. It only lasts a minute the next day after using it, but it is just too weird for me. :(

It's ok with fried foods- very nuetral taste, very finely ground
This is very finely ground. Mine arrived fresh, very well sealed, and with plenty of time left on it for me to use. It works great to coat seafood/veggies/meat in it before putting it in an egg wash. It really helps the eggs stick to whatever you or battering. I also used this in my 2nd batter coating mix when deep frying. It works fine - it gives a tasty, thin, crispy crust. I mixed it half-and-half with a high fiber flour. It wasn't gluten-free but it tasted great that way- it cut down on the gluten and I never knew it was missing. Pan-fried pork chops and chickens are fine with just a light coating of tapioca flour. If you cook in butter, it browns nicely. If you brown your chicken in butter with light dusting, it can help make for a great chicken caccitore. My attempts at using it to thicken soups and stews really failed at first. I tried adding it directly into a hot stew, and ended up with some shiny masses of glutinous snot-looking material in there that I didn't even see until I had already started eating a bowl. I learned the hard way that this HAS TO BE dissolved in water before adding it, and when put in, whisked immediately and quickly while the heat is fairly low. It's really more like adding cornstarch than adding in some flour. It works great, if you do it right. It really has very little taste. It is really good at helping a batter bind to something to be fried.

Value, Value, Value!!!
This is an amazing value!! Compare what you would get in your normal grocery store to this and you will see there is NO comparison! The product shipped quickly and I got 3 times what I would have gotten in store!! Once again, amazing product-amazing price! Nice to see a company that gives more than they get, love it!!!

Great for making Brazilian cheese bread!
My wife loves this for making pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread). It's gluten free, too, so I'm sure it could be used for other recipes as well.
