Life Saver
Everyone needs one of those, regardless of occupation. We’ve all seen car accidents, and are quite aware of the level of violence in our society nowadays. So, carrying one of these, is a good and rather inexpensive insurance policy, because the life you save, may very well be your own. Buy one, and learn how to use it.

Good IFAK kit…just need the pouch.
What you should know:- When it comes to IFAK kits, they are mostly geared towards blood-loss control, though some address the airway. This kit does as well with the tourniquet, compressed-gauze, and Israeli bandage, and the chest seals are a nice addition for lung puncture (gunshot) wounds (and are not always included in these kits)…and the shears to cut clothing/access the wound.- The products in this kit makes for a good trauma kit. Though if I had one from the kit to choose , it’s the Israeli bandage, which is designed to cover most flesh wounds, has a gauze insert for wound packing/compression, and a plastic insert (and plastic cover) for a chest seal, and can be used as a (less-than-ideal) tourniquet. Every other item in this kit is more “purpose-designed” and is better for its respective application, especially when minutes matter. I like that the included Israeli bandage is a flat 6” style…easier to pack/wear.- The only thing notably missing from this kit is a pouch/case. But I suppose this can vary depending on whether you need these for a waist, ankle, or car kit. Still a pouch would’ve been nice.Bottom Line:It might sound odd to consider but having an IFAK is a good precaution…this kit has what you need for that (again…except for the pouch…and perhaps an NPA).

Good supplement to a typical car First Aid kit
I got this kit as a supplement to a first aid kit I have in my car. In the car, you really need some trauma tools with you if you are involved in or happen on an accident. Stopping arterial bleeding is a primary concern, so a tourniquet is essential for that. I also liked that this set includes some chest seals for a sucking chest wound. This is mostly a result of gunshot to the chest but can be caused by other trauma, and a seal is vital to keep air from entering into the chest cavity and collapsing the lungs. The compressed gauze would be handy to pack a deep wound to slow bleeding also. I'm not sure what the emergency bandage is for other than to apply pressure to a wound? Not sure what the plastic clip on it is for though -- I'll have to read up on that. You are just trying to keep a patient alive long enough to get them to a proper trauma center. So I think this kit can help with that. I wish it came with its own bag, but I added it to my existing first aid kit. It barely fits in the bag, but I feel better prepared now for anything from a paper cut to a severed artery.

Items you hope to never use, but if you do…
Trauma care supplies that you buy hoping to never need to use. These are items not found in your typical first aid kits because most require advanced first aid to use or attempt to use. I appreciate that these are kitted separately from bandaids and tweezers so that IF you are trained in their use, you can add these items into a basic first aid kit to upgrade it to a trauma kit. These will be going in my backwoods kit that I keep at my cabin, the further you are from professional care the more critical having these life saving supplies could be. Shears are good, not great handles on them, I’m sure they will cut through cloth in an emergency, but there are better out there. At this price point, it’s a nice upgrade to add trauma supplies to your IFAK or group kit.
