1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Black with Man in Black Suit Figurine The Hobby Shop Series 10 1/64 Diecast Model Car by Greenlight 97100 E

I love Greenlight's 1:64 line, and I really like this model. Unfortunately, whoever made the decisions for trim on this model never saw the real car, not even in a grainy photograph. Like the Greenlight models of the "aero" and "whale" Crown Victorias, this car has too much brightwork around the windows. With the dog dish hubcaps, it's fair to say that this is supposed to be a fleet car, yet Greenlight slathered on brightwork around the windows (it's way too thick, by the way) as if the model were an LX. It's so frustrating that I took mine apart and removed the silver from the windows. It looks much better that way. Greenlight also missed on the wheelcovers. The dogdish covers are not correct for the year and are lacking in detail. I swapped a set from an "aero" Crown Vic and the result looks much, much better.

Lovely GL scaler. Must have for all 1/64 die-cast collectors.
