Great comedy

One of several of Adam Sandler’s best movies in my opinion.

I normally write very long reviews. I have just 1 word:LOL

Except for the few funny scenes, it bombed pretty badly. Jack Nicholson carried the movie but the plot is so foolish and predictable. I hate to see Adam Sandler do such bad movies, when he’s so talented as an actor. His serious movies are much better.

I like mindless comedies. This fits the bill. It’s not like the best comedy in the world and it’s not something I’d watch over again but meh. Sometimes you just want to watch something light. It’s a very problematic story line if you really dive deep. But if you keep yourself at surface level it’s fine.

It was a good movie just chaotic but funny

Wow, this movie is so much fun. It's brilliantly acted of course, by Nicholson and Sandler, but it's also full of Oscar winners, politicians, and sports stars turning up in surprise bit parts and walk-ons (won't tell you who, or it will spoil the fun). The humour is slapstick, but it also hits home and dishes up heaping plates full of home truths about self esteem and empowerment. So, yes, in a way, it is a goofy funny ballsy self-help movie. But, putting all that stuff aside, it is just seriously funny. Everyone I know who has seen it has been knocked sideways laughing and just had a great time. Yes, the comedy has a dark twist, but this keeps it all from getting out of hand. Overall, it is totally feel-good fare and just lots of fun. Highly recommended, especially if you are feeling kind of low and could use a good supportive pat on the back and a good laugh. It will cure your ills -- "I feel pretty!" Have fun!

Great comedy this and a bluray I wanted to add to my collection.Quality wise I had a bluray copy of this before which seemed to be better quality than this ? Anyway its not bad quality but not as sharp as I have seen on others thats all, still well above DVD and I totally enjoyed watching it.

A bit mad and contrived. Not funny most of the time

Interesting film! I was a little annoyed at the beginning but found that the actors were brilliant in their roles and that the moral was simple in the end - watch to the end and all will become clear. I nearly missed out by not watching to the end.

One of my favourite Adam Sandler films, I love Jack Nicholson in it, his still got that disturbing charm that terrified me when I watched The Shining. Its funny, great cast and really well thought out. Just brilliant
