My wife and I just returned from a 6-day Paris, France vacation. Before leaving, we purchased two Adapter plugs. Let me assure you, it was money very well spent. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. After plugging the adapter in, we plugged a mini-4 port 110 VAC outlet into the grounded France adapter. Again, no problem charging an iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, and a Nexus 7. The ungrounded 110 VAC side of adapter was used for our the 110VAC camera charger adapter.Before purchasing two adapters, I read the reviews. Several mentioned the adapter fits snuggly. The adapter does fit snuggly which is another advantage. The product is well made and top notch. Do not hesitate to buy this product. Oh, after ordering, the product arrived in 3-business days.In summary, we were very pleased with this product. Well worth the money, absolutely does the job, and the color purple is cool. Thinking about it, this little plug adapter made our vacation even better. One more note, I carried the second adapter with me while touring. While taking a break at a restaurant or coffee shop, we always found an outlet, but never needed a charge for our electronic gadgets.

As a frequent business traveler, I've owned and used a lot of adapters over the years. This is by far, the best one I've ever owned. It will work in more countries than they list, including pretty much all of Europe (except UK and Italy), most of the Middle East, much of Africa and Asia. Worked great in Russia too!.What makes this adapter so great?1. It's solidly made. So many other adapters are flimsy and fall apart. I even had one catch fire once in Saudi Arabia.2. It's the perfect size. Smaller ones can be hard to pry out of the socket. Bigger ones often interfere with something.3. Fits perfectly in sockets worldwide. So many others fit loosely and even fall out.4. The purple color means you are less likely to forget and leave it in a hotel socket when you check out. Sounds stupid but I've done that before.5. The secondary socket means you can share power with a friend. This is invaluable when you're looking for a power port in an airport and they are all being used. Simply ask if you can share! I've never had anyone refuse.One thing to mention. Avoid the "universal" adapters that have all the sliders to fit any socket. Over the years I've seen so many of these fail.

I found this item worked very effectively while in Portugal and Spain. My daughter, on the other hand, couldn't get it to work at all in France and had to buy a different type of adapter built to plug directly into the Eurpean outlet while being directly attached to the device being used.

If you're a frequent traveller like me, you know you need adaptors in foreign countries to plug things in and charge cell phones, computers etc. So many places have inferior sockets, especially anything less than brand new 4 or 5 star hotels. I've used low quality generic adaptors many times and finally got fed up with the plugs falling out of the sockets, especially when weighted down with other cables or power supplies. Not only is it annoying but it's also really bad for electronics, having the power go on and off intermittently. Finally a really well made adaptor that stays put! The plugs are made to a very high standard and the fit into a socket is a lot tighter than others. A recent trip to Europe (I used 3 different ones) proved this. In direct comparison to a generic adaptor the solidity of the connection was vastly superior. The extra outlet on the top also proved very handy without having to use an extra distribution adaptor. Why would you plug in a $1000 laptop with a 99 cent adaptor and risk hard drive damage?As an audiophile, I also know that better connections make better sound. Anyone who uses high quality aftermarket cables knows this. Power supply connections are no different. Trust me, if you care about what you're plugging in, this is the only adaptor to get. Also, any outlets that can be grounded, are. A lot of adaptors have no ground connection, if there's something there it's usually a plastic pin. In any case I bought the whole set and am very happy with them. For a few extra bucks, they are worth every penny. Buy these, you won't be sorry!

I purchased this travel adapter (along with a few others that were appropriate for each country) to use on my European vacation. Since I'm always losing things, or abandoning things in hotel rooms, I figured that the purple color would make said abandonment of the adapter itself less likely. I also liked that I would be able to plug two appliances in at once.This adaptor worked very well in each hotel I stayed in, and even on the overnight trains I took throughout Europe. It had a nice, tight fit into the wall sockets, and the adapter for Germany was specifically tailored to fit in the recessed outlets that I encountered in all of the German (and even some of the Austrian) hotels. My friends who were with me on the trip had brought other adapters that did not completely fit into these recessed outlets. Some of their cheaper adapters would just fall out of the socket a few minutes after plugging in, so my friends were borrowing my adapters during the course of our entire trip... I know what I will be giving my friends as gifts before their next trip!**As a note, this is just an adapter, so you will need to make sure that your appliance is suitable for the European voltage (230-240V), or you will have to purchase a voltage converter.
