yes this product is excelled for protecting battery terminals, electrical connector from corrosion, i use it all the time.

It sounds like a good idea. It technically should work perfectly fine in a household bulb socket. It might be best to only use it in outdoor light sockets in case any vapors are emitted as the socket heats up. It might be best to ensure the light socket is made of metal and ceramic materials (not polymers) which reduces the risk of there being any chemical incompatibility between the grease and any polymers used in the construction of the light socket. (Most likely since it is compatible with the polymers used in car electrical wiring and sockets, it most likely is compatible with those polymers that would be used in house electrical components)
