Q: How wide is the track? I want to put small potted succulents on it. The vases are 2.5" - so looking for a 3" track width.

the track is exactly 3" wide between the back mounting board and the front lip. So you have 3" of horizontal surface available. If the vase widens quickly, not sure if you would run out of space, if that makes sense. If they are straight up and down...you should be good. I saw the other answer posted, so i hope there is not variations between models. I measured mine and have 3" so hope that's not bad information for the one you are going to purchase.I looked at the product specs (Specifications: - Materials: MDF Wood & Laminate Size: 46" x 2.5" x 3.5") and these are identical the the specs on mine. So I think it is the exact model. I don't see a model or part number so not 100% sure...but pretty sure

Q: Why do some reviews say comes with hardware and others say it doesn't?

Mine did not come with hardware

Q: Can i hang this without drilling, like using command strips?

I have not tried it with command strips. I think it would be not be safe and not sure that it could hold the weight of items you want to display.
