After 40 years this remains the best introduction to the analysis of film. Easy to read and follow for anyone

Has been really helpful as a baseline starting point for my film degree. Good easy to understand definitions would recommend to anyone interested in film or started a degree in it

The book was recommended to me by one of my lecturers at university as an introduction, and it is helpful to understand the overall structure of film (making). The only thing that makes me uncomfortable are the bottom margins, which differ every now and then.
