Great Fan, not Remote Controlled.
This fan is awesome!! Looks great. It does not have a remote though. It is a wired control unit that goes in place of a light switch. It has many light brightnesses and fan speeds. I would recommend this fan but just know it is not remote controlled. Really moves air. Quiet.

DId not DIY
My wife did not want me up on a ladder, so I got a pro to install this wonderful unit. It's quiet, moves lots of air, works like a charm, and did not even need to be balanced once in place. It has a wall switch for all of its functions, and it's not intuitive but we learned the sequence of buttons to get it up to speed, to control the light, and to get it to reverse direction. Now we mostly just hit the master switch and it remembers our settings. Love it, and did not want to get into wi-fi or remote control versions. So there! Go Hunter!

False advertising and bad directions
"Pull chain included" is incorrect. "Handheld remote" is incorrect as well. The instructions give you steps for either two switches or one, and it doesn't matter -- you will need to install for one switch, or the second switch just kills power to the fan and makes the fan portion of the remote useless. I *wanted* to use two switches, so I can automate the other one myself with Home Assistant, and you can't do that as easily here. Returning.

gorgeous fan, needs wi-fi control
This is a really, really nice fan. It's quiet, it cranks the breeze and the light is nice too.I'd give it five stars if it had wi-fi control. There is really no excuse these days not to have that, especially given that the wall control is essentially a transmitter to the fan. Hunter could have put a dumb switch in the wall, and put wi-fi in the fan and had a home run. It probably would not change the cost much at all either. Anyhow, still an awesome fan.

Great performance
I bought this to replace a worn out ceiling fan in my living room. This room has a vaulted ceiling and the fan hangs on a 4' downrod. This fan operates great and is the move perfectly balanced and quiet running ceiling fan I have ever had. The remote is actually integrated in the light switch on the wall. While the remote operates easily, I would prefer it not use batteries. I suspect that this is due to the fact that standard wall switches don't use a neutral wire which would be required for an electronic circuit running the remove functions. I just think it would be better to require a neutral during the install that to have to unscrew the entire switch to replace batteries in the future. Still, the fan deserves 5 stars as far as I'm concerned.

Fit our needs
We wanted an outdoor fan with wall controls and ability to use a switch for the light. We did not want a detachable wall remote. We did not want to control the light w a remote. This was the fan for us.There is plenty of confusion regarding features of the fan. I’ll try to clarify. The wall remote panel has a master power switch at the bottom. This master switch controls all power to both the fan and light. We leave this on at all times. I’m guessing there’s a code requirement for this switch to exist. The wall remote panel has a light on / off switch and dimmer arrows. These work as expected. We disabled the dimmer function to avoid accidental input. This fan has the ability to add a wall switch for the light. This light switch then functions essentially as a 3-way switch with the light button on the wall remote. You can push the wall switch or the wall remote light button to toggle the light on or off.The wall remote has a fan on/off and speed control switches. These function as expected.Frustrations:Concealed battery compartment is a ridiculous design.Would be nice to have a normal light switch and a normal fan switch.I suspect the DC motors in all new fans require a digital signal for speed control which requires a wireless transmission which requires DC circuitry in the transmitter which requires either batteries or a transformer in the wall component. Why they chose batteries over transformer is beyond baffling.

This fan is legit.
If you are looking for a fan that is quiet but really cranks out the CFMs.. look no further. This is a sleek and modern design and moves some serious air. The installation is typical for a ceiling fan and very straight forward if you have previous experience with such installs.

I would buy a wired controller
Overall the fan is well made but the wall mounted radio remote that comes with it keeps loosing connection. I happen to have a 3 wire romex going to the fan so I will be buying a fully wired controller.
