this book is brilliant, I absolutely love it
this book is brilliant, I absolutely love it. one of the best books I've ever read. this is a first hand account from a person that was there. the detail of this mans memory is amazing. the way it is written is like sitting down with the author in a quiet corner of a pub or sitting around a fire place. just let the man talk, your in for a great story 10/10

A very important book and essential reading for anyone interested ...
A very important book and essential reading for anyone interested in Ireland's struggle for independence. As well as tales of fighting the Black and Tans there is an underlying spiritual quality in this book as it delves into the long history of native Irish people's struggle for equality in their own land. It is also told with a touch of humour.
