Smoke galore
I bought two of these tubes to use in my Traeger Pellet smoker/grill. Why? Because the Traeger is neither a smoker or a grill. It is an outdoor oven which derives its heat from the combustion of wood pellets. These tubes solved the smoke problem. I just filled them with pellets and fired the end with a blow torch. When the flame went out i picked the tubes up with a pair of tongs and laid them on the rack next to my brisket. Provided about three and half hours of incredible dense smoke. Great smoke ring on the brisket. This is your solution to your Traeger not smoking as expected.

BEWARE - FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!
The smoker is listed as coming with the brush.None was received. I contacted the seller, and he blew me off with a lame excuse that the smoker is cheap enough and I should be happy as is.This alone is sufficient to rate an item as 1-star in my books (false advertisement + customer service that spits on you.)Another (smaller) issue is that I could not get full 5 hours out of it. 4 hours with normal operation, 4.5 hours when I wet the pellets (You probably shouldn't do it, unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing). It might be another -1 star, but it also may depend on the airflow in my vs their grill/test conditions.But...I love my new ability to cold-smoke salmon, mackerel and trout so much, that I will give 2 stars. The gizmo itself works great!UPDATE 11/25/2022I am not sure what worked, this review or my suggestion to the seller to involve amazon:QUOTE:Dear ,Sorry, this model we are loss money to sale, so I am afraid we can't refund a couple of bucks. And I don't know how to refund you. please send me. thanks.END OF QUOTEI suggested to send it back to me via paypal, or - much easier - via amazon.I got my $2 and I am bumping the rating to 3 stars.Again, if not for all of these gimmicky games the seller tries to play, if the smoker was advertised as what it is - just a metal box with holes, no brush etc., stated 5 hours under ideal condition, in real life - 4 hours...Then this smoker is 5-star product.Mine has served me beautifully so far. 6 smoke-outs, I am happy!

Works great in a weber kettle charcoal grill
I have used this about a dozen times, now, and it works great. After difficulty getting it lit with a torch, I just use an electric heat gun. Takes about a minute to get fully going on just the heat gun.I've used it two ways. As a pure smoker, I load up the tube and set it down low on the charcoal grate, making sure the bottom vents are open. I fire it up with the heat gun, then put the top grate, meat, and lid on. It produces enough heat to get my standard Weber kettle grill to about 200 degrees F and keep it there for a couple of hours. I do have to adjust the top vents to keep it from going out, and a couple of times, I've needed to relight the tube with the heat gun. But it's worked well, overall. The other way is easier and my favorite. I grill on charcoal as always, but I put a half or quarter filled tube on the side, lighting it when I put the top grate on after dumping the charcoal out of the chimney. Food cooks in the same time as always, but there is extra flavor from the hardwood smoke pellets I use. My family mostly does not like the strong flavor of purely smoked meats, but they react well to the slightly smokier flavor when grilled with charcoal and supplemented by this smoker tube. I love the pure smoked version, but then I'm the only one eating it. As a supplement, the grilling goes better than ever. I've also tried classical barbecue with it (~240F cooking,) and that has worked out well, too. We've tried apple, cherry, and hickory in the pellet flavors. All produce good results. The tube comes in a bag with a cleaning brush, well-packed. After a dozen uses, it isn't showing any wear, other than some discoloration in the metal. It's decent steel.Highly recommended!

Smoker tube
Works great for smoking. Pack it full of wood chips or pellets and bang it on the ground as you fill it so you get as much in it as you can. I used wood chips and it lasted about 90 minutes before it was empty. Worked awesome for cold smoking cheese in a grill.
