The Language of Medicine

Book had some writing in it but is in great condition and does exactly what I need it to do. Will be purchasing books from them again in the future.

Only giving it a 4 🌟 because some of the awnsers were written in already. Luckily it was in pencil so I can erase it before classes start.

Not the newest edition of the book but this was acceptable for my class. Also be sure to check seller's rating. The seller I got it from sold me a book in fantastic condition even though it was marked as used.

Please note that this book is meant to be written in. It's a lot of information and the exercises at the end of the chapter are to help you retain and practice the terms. So, if you're buying used, make sure someone else hasn't filled in all the info. Also, there is not an access code provided with new books. I assumed buying new meant that I'd get access to a companion website, but that isn't the case.My class is 100% online. The teacher is using a new edition (I was sent the wrong syllabus) but the 11th edition follows the 12th edition pretty closely, and what the older edition doesn't have, he shows on his PowerPoint presentation. So not an issue at all. All-in-all, easy to follow text with lots of exercises to help you learn.

This is a great textbook & workbook for medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and application to the medical field through medical procedures. There are lots of photographs of the medical abnormalities patients encounter. It's not a dull textbook but keeps the user engaged with fill-in's and multiple choice quizzes at the end of the chapter. The glossary has alphabetized medical terminology for roots, suffixes & prefixes. There's also an appendix for abbreviations, acronyms, eponyms & symbols. Thus, it saves me from buying those quick charts.

This texbook was required for a class I am enrolled in, and unlike my other previous experiences with classes, the professor does use the book frequent enough to consider it a core asset of ones success in the classroom.1) The illustrations used in the book are easily found in the index and cited correctly2) The material that the book contains is written in a way for anyone to understand3) The book has held up well against regular wear and tear from being in a bag.Overall, I am pleased with this book.I decided to deduct a star based on the fact that there is no companion software available for this material in order to visualize it better.I have used an assortment of videos I found to make a playlist in order to prepare for an exam in lieu of such software.

Hi I was really disappointed as there was no access code for the evolve website. I looked every where and felt cheated.

Good book. Great condition. Love the extra online resources for learning included

I love the textbook content itself; it does a good job of explaining terms and concepts and I LOVE the review exercises at the end of each chapter; I really feel like these help to enforce and apply the material I’ve learned. I will say that my textbook was in pretty obvious used condition (someone has filled in all the answers on several above mentioned chapter review exercises and diagrams) and this wasn’t indicated anywhere before I bought it. I don’t mind buying used textbooks but I was under the impression that this was new so it was extremely annoying having to go in and either erase or white out all the answers. But I still am pleased with the textbook itself.

This book was in amazing condition. So happy with the this purchase.
