must-read for potential parents and modern people in general
This is an incredibly interesting book that explores the psychological and broader social impacts of digital technology in the 21st century. It opened my eyes to the dangers we are tending to look past such as gaming and internet addictions. Swingle makes clear that there are positive effects of this technology as well, but she calls us to take a closer look at the way we interact with this technology and the way affects us. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Technology is not a Babysitter!
Little do parents and educators know what the technology of today is doing to the developing minds of their kids/students. Swingle examines the 'crisis' from every angle, and, as a therapist and scientist, backs her claims with demonstrable facts that are frightening, yet reversible...sometimes. The book contains excellent direction for parents to take with their own kids and their use of smart phones, tablets, TV and computers and all the attractions they bring with them.

For Those Who Care About Young Minds
This is an important work by an experienced and qualified researcher/practitioner who provides documentation and clinical support for her assertions about a very real public health issue. How digital technology impacts neurological and cognitive development is important to parents, teachers, healthcare professionals, and researchers. This author does an excellent job of making highly esoteric concepts, principles, and finding accessible to a broad range of interested readers. As a professor and a practitioner, I highly recommend this book.

Warnings are being sounded and need to be heeded. Not technology bashing. Makes some very astute observations that are data driven. Very thought provoking. Above all, it is very readable.

Urgent Reading for Parents
Extremely informative book on the damage excessive screen time has on the brain, on the family structure and on the social, emotional and physical development of a child. Very important book for everyone, especially parents.

What every parent, grandparent and educator should know in this digital age - well, all of us
i-Minds 2.0 is a much-needed wake-up call about the many side-effects of too much i-tech, especially in our children and youth.Reading through this compelling book, you will feel inspired to get your kids, and yourself, unplugged and outside.I highly recommend i-Minds 2.0 to everyone who sees how this "constant connectivity," as she describes it, is burdening us in many ways, as well as to anyone who is unaware of the evidence of harm and needs to hear what Dr. Swingle recommends.
