QUIK LOK Music Stand (MS-332)

I only write reviews if I feel strongly about a purchase - meaning Strongly Like or Dislike.This stand is Bad-Ass. I do not play Music... I collect Photography Books.These are huge -The heaviest one weighs 23 pounds and is 24 inches high.It's on the stand right now.I was skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews, but the size of the lower lip / shelf was the biggest I could find and the description said Heavy Duty, so I went with it.If mine had arrived damaged I would be pissed also, so I definitely understand some of the negative reviews.Mine arrived in perfect condition.The wood is definitely faux, but thats OK.It looks good in the room and it's perfect for my needs.That being said, someday I'm going to find an antique stand somewhere in this world, one made of Beautiful wood, and craftsmanship that no longer exists in the modern era.Cheaper and Faster is the way things are done now, and on that note - this stand is PERFECT.You cannot beat this for the price.Sturdy, no rough edges to damage my book collection, and looks as good as it possibly can for what it is.Hope this helps.

Having used pretty much every stand there is, I'm pretty impressed with this one. The surface is nicely made of either composite wood or bamboo and the finish is good.The stand is very stable, but not as heavy as the all metal ones and the flat top without cutouts is very practical for actual score reading while looking pretty good. The surface area is larger than the typical Wagner stand.I think this is much better than a completely foldable design for home use and it looks pretty good without costing too much.Highly recommended.

This music stand is nice to look at and incredibly sturdy! It was everything that was advertised. We have been using it for several months now and with three musicians in the house (one of whom is 6 and needs the stand lowered quite a bit), it gets a ton of use. The ledge is wide enough to hold my music books and my daughter’s music books at the same time. We did have to add a light to the top but that was an easy add on. We are very satisfied.

My review is based on item purchased from Amazon Warehouse in a "like new condition".The aesthetics of the product is fine. Much more pleasant than your standard black stands, and wider than your standard concert Manhasset stands. I have it placed behind a keyboard so one sees mostly the wood desk, but even still, the black base and wood desk is visually pleasing. The tubing and base seem very strong and sturdy. The wood desk also seems very sturdy as it seems to hold large items very well. (I have a packed 3" binder of charts and music and it holds it very well.) It does not have a page holder so it may be inconvenient if for those music books that don't hold open well on its own.The finish on the wood desk is not the best quality; it is not a smooth finish as there are some bumps, possibly from the coating. From what I can tell the "lip" [of the desk] and desk are attached via glue but it seems to be held together well. Also the lip of the desk seems to have some discoloration maybe from factory or because this is a "like new condition" item.I will be using at home and will be stationary; no need to adjust stand up and down. You adjust using knobs you loosen and tighten so if you constantly need to adjust it, you may find this inconvenient. For travel, the base and desk come apart; just need to be careful with the desk so you don't scratch the finish.Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase as it fits my needs.

First, I think my product was already returned once based on how the box showed up. The packaging was poor, so the product inside the box was damaged the back piece that connects the stand together is plastic, which I was surprised it does not seem like it would be great, long-term, holding up a heavy piece of wood. I don’t mind getting someone else’s returned. If the product is still good however, Amazon needs to check the product before they send it to somebody else. They should’ve packaged it well and they should’ve made sure it wasn’t broken. I don’t think the price of the stand, and the quality of the stand match. Poor construction.

My son needed a music stand on which he could write on his sheet music during a lesson. The faux wood was certainly far more attractive than other stands and serves its function. Considering that this stand is prominently situated in the middle of the living room where my son practices the upright bass every day, I appreciated finding a nice looking yet sturdy stand. The brown color is not as orange as it looks in the picture.

Really, really nice well made, sturdy, adjustable music stand. Perfect for pro's or amateur. I also bought the Vekkia (rechargeable) clip-on light to go with it. Perfect combo. Easily holds my big thick 'Fake" music books. Also, a very pretty & professional looking stand. (Love the wood). Would buy again in an instant.

We ordered these for our choir loft and are quite satisfied. There were a couple that came damaged, and they returned us perfect ones in trade.
