Needs an update to take into account more recent references but still a beautiful book that’s a must have for any Vacheron Constantin lover.

Limited as a general history
This book is a general history of the company. It gives details one would expect on its founding, important watches & major events in its history. What it does not do is give comprehensive material on watches from any era. It is an overview of the periods and even then is not one that tells about which watch replaced which in the line up. If you are, for example, looking for specific information a watch in your collection or one you are thinking about acquiring, do not expect to see it here. Mostly these are the famous, expensive pieces produced in limited number. Some here are not, but many of the ones seen on ebay or chrono24 are not going to be found here. The book is well made, hardcover with good quality paper. It is a good coffee table book that comes with a thin paper book sleeve. I would only recommend it for history fans of Vacheron, or those who like to read about some of their high end watches.

Beautiful, well printed, and full of information, but not horological.
This book is wondrous in many ways, but far from perfect. I would call it the must have companion to your Haute House books or your VC watches, even if you only have one! What I wouldn't call it is a good guide for the student of horology, as it lacks diagrams and theory. What the book contains is the history of VC from the founding to 2015 (when the 57260 was made). I should note that it only covers some aspects of the 57260 because that timepiece has its own book from the same author. So, if you like watches and want to see great big colourful pictures of them definitely go for this as it's a high quality item and entertaining.
