Good size for a hand towel
I was hoping to hang a hand towel and a washcloth on this rack, since it is mounted on the wall next to my bathroom sink. If both hand towel and wash cloth are folded, they fit. But if they're open, there isn't enough space to hang them without overlapping them. I would've gotten a longer rack, but my available space was limited. Aside from that, it is attractive and seems sturdy.

I love everything about this towel rod. Unlike one reviewer who commented that the metal feels thin, I did not find that to be the case at all. I mean, it's a towel rod, so no one should be regularly putting any substantial weight on it in the first place. Towel rods are intended to hold towels, and not used to pull yourself up. Even with that in mind, if I happened to slip on the bathroom floor, I think I could grab onto this a little to help stabilize myself without breaking the rod or pulling it out of the wall. That's another thing: The 32" mounting position (rod is 35" overall) allows fastening the rod directly into wall studs, which makes it about 10 times more stable. I have small children who tend to grab onto towel rods, so I used 3" wood screws instead of the ones that came with the item. Incredibly solid. Another reviewer mentioned a gap between the rod and the wall. Just keep in mind that it's totally normal to put a good bit of pressure against the rod toward the wall while tightening the set screw. If the hardware is installed properly, there should be no gap. I compared similar towel rods with others based on reviews and price, and I believe this was the best value. Needless to say, I would buy it again.

Good quality/sturdy
Our daughter ripped our towel rack out of the drywall, and we got this as a replacement. I like that it goes into the studs on both sides!
