Mycelium is inferior to the fruiting body of mushrooms. Mycelium contains very little of the medicinal properties and is used as a inexpensive filler. This can be verified easily by doing the simple research yourself - using a search engine to compare mycelium to the fruiting body. When you do so you will find that this product is not an effective method of obtaining the benefits one wants in a medicinal mushroom. I got very little benefit and thus returned it and instead bought a product that had 100% fruiting body.

If you read the label on this product, you'll notice that it notes in small print at the bottom that all but two of the mushrooms listed are actually only the mycelium. This is a cheat of a practice in the medicinal mushroom industry. They take the mycelium (which is like the roots of the fungi) spray it on grain (in this case rice) and then grind them up together and put it in the product. The fruiting body, or mushroom, is the medicinal part of the fungi, not the mycelium, so you don't get the medicinal benefits of the B-Glucan and instead get a bunch of starch from the grains. I was super disappointed to make this discovery. If you're looking for actual mushroom powder, you're better off going with brands like Real Mushrooms or Four Sigmatic and always read the labels for mention of mycelium or grains.

People with cleaner receptors (non-caffeine, low-sugar) diets react much faster to the mushrooms. If you are planning a detox, then it is best to do both. WARNING: I began to experience very unusual dreams. My partner who can't remember dreams also noticed very vivid dreams. After taking it for two weeks, the dreams stopped being bizarre. These mushrooms, not trying to sound high, increases blood flow to parts of my brain that weren't regularily exercised.TIP: It dissolves best in warm and hot liquids. Also, taking it in the morning boosts productivity. If you take it right before bed at the beginning, you might experience an acid trip. The tiredness from it might then cancel out the benefits.

I started to take this product because being a PreMed student, I need to memorize as many things as possible and as much energy production I can get to study. After taking this my grades improved a whole letter grade. I feel so alert and awake in the morning after taking the 2 tsp with coffee. I can stay awake all day without needing a nap and I feel full longer. Feel like it is also used as a weight loss supplement. If you look up every mushroom and their benefits, one of the mushrooms also does help with weight loss. I will not stop taking this product. It makes me feel so much better and healthy!

Not good. I’ve had others that were great, but this one I’d steer away from.Would’ve loved to return it, but I didn’t even try it for several days and upon further review, they only give you 1 day to return item. I’ll never buy from them again.

This is very versatile, and can be easily mixed with many things. The taste is good. I also use a 7 mushroom blend from another company and I keep that one at work & this one at home. I find the taste between the two is very similar as is the smell. The big difference I would say is the price... both cost about $42 however with this one you get twice as much for the same price & this one has a blend of 14 mushrooms vs only 7 in the other one. That said the next time I order I will likely order 2 of these instead of ordering any of the other. Not that the other isn't a great product it's just common sense to me given the similarities... why not get more bang for your buck in this case!

Great product, same thing cost twice as much in my local herb store. If used as a daily supplement, much more economical to buy it here. Weighed it out of the bag, as pictured, a few grams over 453.39 grams. They are not skimping, so thank you! ( Scale pictured is calibrated).

I add one teaspoon of this blend to two teaspoons of coffee and don't even taste it. It's alkalizing, energizing, and delicious. I'm happy I went this route after pricing out and reading reviews of a mushroom/coffee blend Tim Ferriss recommends--it's way more affordable, there's more of a variety, and my tastebuds give it two thumbs up (if that were possible).
