Great wool blanket buuuuuut…
Was exactly what I expected from a wool blanket. Colour is true to pictures. It is soft the way wool is so some may still find it “scratchy” if you’re used to fleece or any kind of polyester. I will definitely be purchasing more. It is great for camping and temperature-regulates and prevents sweating and moisture buildup. The only thing that was kind of a negative was just how much fuzz/fluff came off the blanket. In the washing machine. In the dryer- it was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. And then even when I’m use, it left fuzzies all all over the bed. I’m going to wash it and see how it holds up but oh my god… it was scary how much solid lint came out of my dryer vent. See pictures.

I am going to test it over Christmas!
It is not as thick as I thought it would be, but that it not necessarily a bad thing. It looks to be well made, feels nice and it a lot bigger than I thought it would be. It is winter in the UK at the moment and it has been quite cold, so it might be time to see how warm it is.I have only just received the blanket, so it is hard to give a proper review at this point.

Almost excellent.
The Good: Lovely weight oversized throw or light blanket. The weave is nice and dense and it’s got a nice hand feel for wool (the perks of being a blend). Very versatile little blanket. Washed very nicely and hang dried within 6 hours. The Bad: There’s a few inconsistencies in the wool yarn, pulls and small loops that needed to be clipped and worked back in. The blanket also sheds copious amounts, especially in the wash, though that’s not wholly unexpected for wool. I used a brush and glove to remove the majority of the loose fibres and it’s pretty good now.The Ugly: The smell. Holy Hannah, the smell. Like someone is laying blacktop in the room. It’s aggressive. I aired the blanket out for two days hoping it would help, but rather than dissipating the smell began to permeate other things in the room! I gave up and tried washing it with wool wash, which did help considerably, though I can still smell it a little. I’m hopeful it will come out in the next wash.Edit: Washed it a second time using regular woolite laundry detergent and it came out great. It still shed a fair amount, but not as much as the first time. After a nice long spin on high it held its shape and air dried beautifully. The smell is still not what I would call pleasant, but it’s not offensive anymore either. Next time I wash it I’m going to try some scented lanolin emulsifier cubes I have left over from my cloth diaper phase and see what happens. All in all, I would totally recommend the blanket for the price.

Very soft, smells good
This blanket is very soft and smells great. No musty odour that wool sometimes has. I used it recently on a one week canoe camping trip. In British Columbia, Canada. Sleeping in a tent for seven nights. Temperatures averaging 8c/46f at night. It rained every night but one. I use a down quilt over top rated for 8c. The two blanket styles work together well to protect from damp weather. This wool blanket looks great and will sit in my living room over the winter.
