PentelMulti-Color Gel Ballpoint Pen Energel, Black/Red/Blue (XBLC35N)

Let me just say, I LOVE THIS PEN!!! - I've used the Pentel Energel needlepoint-tipped, click-pens for several years now. As a L&D nurse, I NEED a fine-tipped, click-pen that writes well, is comfortable to use, & holds up to harsh disinfectant wipes. - I've spent years searching for a pen that would have all of qualities AND have a multipen option with blue, black, & red ink. (A highlighter, Sharpie, & pencil would be great, too. But, I've never seen one with THAT combo!)Anyway, this pen writes well, is comfortable to use, & has the Blue, Black, & Red ink I need. However, like several other reviews have noted, the AMOUNT of ink didn't last long. My pen arrived on Sept 19th & I started using on Sept 20th. I keep it in my locker & use it ONLY at work. I work 2 or 3 12hr- shifts/wk. All of our charting & order entries are on the computer, so I only use my pen to fill out consent forms, discharge forms, take notes for shift report sheets, & fill out baby bracelets & footprint sheets. So, although I use it frequently, I'm not writing long paragraphs or anything. - I prefer the blue ink for most things. And, yesterday morning, it ran out. That means it lasted only 1 month. But, it was really only THREE WEEKS, because we went on vacation for a week during that time.So, overall, I really like this pen. But, now I'm stuck either buying another one, or trying to figure out how to refill the ink in this one.I'm not sure how long the plastic barrel on this specific pen holds up to frequent disinfecting, because I didn't have it very long. However, all of the other plastic Pentel Energel barrels have lasted 9-12 months before cracking, depending on how often I have to clean it.I'd definitely recommend this pen, but be aware that you may be replacing them frequently because the ink doesn't last long.

I'm a big fan of Pentel energel pens, so I had to check out this three in one style. I anticipated that it would be heavier than the traditional style, but it actually feels lighter. You know how sometimes you can just tell that something is cheaply made by the way it feels in you hand? This pen has that cheap feel. Nothing has broken yet, but I think it won't be long.

Liked the way it wrote. The fine too and different colors were awesome. Especially to study with.

Good buy

I got this pen because I wanted something that had multiple colors and still was a good quality pen. The pen worked well and it did meet my needs for the colors. The only issue I had was that the black color ran out of ink before the others and I am not sure if the ink can be refilled. If I can figure out how to change the ink, that will be great. The clicking mechanism took some getting used to but I had no real issues with it.

The pen is not too thick and not to thin. It holds in your hand very nicely and when you write with it the grip is perfect. The colors are rich especially the red. It is a fine point pen and I just really like that so much. I bought it in white and it really does look like a fancy pen. You would never know it has three pens in one. I would buy this again perhaps in a different color barrel but for now i have a new addition to my pen toybox which doesn't look cheap.

Pen seems solid and writes just as my other EnerGels do.Good: Gel is typical of EnerGel; Writes smooth; The blue, which I feel feathers a bit on my normal 0.5 needle tip, seems ever so slightly finer and I don't notice as much feathering which I was looking for.Strange: The central "clicker" on top doesn't seem to have any real function.Not Great: The pen does NOT seem refillable. I was hoping to buy it and replace all cartridges with 0.3mm ones; guess that won't happen. But it writes finer than I thought, so that may not have been necessary anyways and the price is so good that I can buy several to have on hand.

エナージェルにハマり購入。仕事用に多色ペンもと思い購入しましたが．．．。凄い使いづらいです！！最悪です。ペンの色を変える時レバーが全部同じ色で、うっすら赤や青のガイドラインはあるのですが、それではわかりにく過ぎる！！いちいちペンを良く見てから切り替えるとか時間勿体ないし面倒です。スタイリッシュにしようとしたのでしょか？しかし多色ペンで色の切り替えがわかりにくのは致命的！！本当に使いづらいです！！普通に作ってって下さい。そしてエナージェルＸ以外、エナージェルはデザインは全部ダサい！！わざわざ余計なひと工夫的デザインがホント余計。他のぺんてるのペンもどれもダサい！！センスが悪い。せっかく性能がいいのに勿体ないです！！なんとかして下さい。エナージェルインクのハッキリした色、インクの乾きの速さ。スルスルとした書きやすさ。本当に良い製品なのに、使いづらくてダサいデザインは勿体なさ過ぎです。ダサいデザインのペンって私物と思われず会社備品として埋もれて無くなりやすい．．．。でも何より使いづらいのが最悪です。余談ですが、単色ペンのノック部分がほとんどがシルバーなのも使いづらいです。何色か胸ポケット入れた時識別しにくい。限定版デザインであってもそれだし。あと限定デザインがモロダサなのも泣けてきます。(猫好きの私ですら心をくすぐられない猫柄モチーフとか．．．。)デザイン買いしたくなるだけのがあれば もっとメジャーになれるペンだと思います。ぺんてる様 絶対改善して下さい。

書き心地は流石のエナージェル。ただ、3色ボールペンなのに各色のノブは全て黒。色はボディに小さく表示されているだけなので、見分けがつけにくいことこの上ない。高級路線の商品ならともかく、実用文具の価格帯で、デザインを優先して実用性を捨てる姿勢は改善すべき。

The Pentel multi is a nice way to have various colours. I'm not sure yet how easy it will be to obtain refills, but even so it is a good price. The quality is decent but I would be concerned that is may break easily.
