Maybe a fraudulent product
Not sure this is an actual G5 product. I have bought this exact product from same seller is past. At that time the peep came carded with G5 labeling. This one came in a zip lock bag. I am pretty sure it is a nock off.

No issues with these G5's
I've always used a G5 peep sight on all my bows. The older version did have shaper edges which did cut strands of bowstrings. The design of the the peep sight reduces string damage significantly. Although, if your peep sight is not tied in correctly and continuously moves on every shot and you have to adjust it all the time, it still may wear and tear your strings. The coloring in the older version was not as durable, I'm not sure if G5 changed their process or if its because of the new design, but the coloring/paint on the new model on my bow still looks new even after a rough season in the woods. I have not had any issues and if I plan on shooting my older bow, I may replace the older version with the Meta Pro.

I'm not positive, but quite concerned this is counterfeit
G5 Outdoors usually packs their peeps in a sealed blister pack with anti-counterfeiting measures throughout. I've purchased at least a half dozen peeps on Amazon and they ALWAYS came in a retail packaging. This particular peep came in an unmarked mini zip-lock packet. Due to the insane amounts of asian counterfeits for such products I'm concerned.

Good quality peep.
Lightweight, and immediately apparent that it's made of better material than my old peep that's 5 years old.Color is very nice. Not able to install it until the new strings get here, which is a few weeks out, but it's the same size apperture as my old peep, so expecting the same performance from it anyway as far as size is concerned. Went with green to match the new color scheme, and to have an actual name-brand peep this year.

Very Thin
I like the color of this peep sight and i like the 3/16" opening but they need to make the sidewalls of the peep sight thicker. It is so narrow that is almost blurs out and disappears entirely when getting a good pin focused sight picture and you can get off target.

Too thin to align with sight
I liked the idea of a very light peep, so I tried this. But the problem is that it's so thin that it's hard for my, not so good, eyes to line to line it up with my sight. I returned it and got a Fletchers.

Machined perfectly
This peep site has been machined perfectly with no rough edges that could snag your string. It looks great and the light weight will not cost much in the way of string speed.

Overall it's good.
I normally shoot a 3/16th peep and can see my entire sight ring. But when I installed this, I couldn't get a sight of the entire sight ring. The 1/4 inch is probably what I should have gone with. Maybe my sight housing ring is just a little on the large side. This was a new setup on the bow and that could be the case. But overall construction is very nice. No sharp edges to damage your string. Nice colors to match my bow. Serve it in right and it stays put. The only issue was not being able to see my level and entire sight ring together. But that could be my fault.Update. After some more testing, I found the sight ring on my sight was larger than normal and caused the issue I was having. I have since gone with a different sight and it works perfectly! Stays tight in my string with little to no twist.

kind of deceiving title
so i thought this peep was metal, either aluminum or steel based on the name of it, its just plastic, highly overpriced plastic. it seems all these peep sights start at 15$ for a plastic eye with a 45 degree groove...this is the type of stuff that a 3d printer pays for itself
