If writing is this simple, and this enjoyable (as evidenced by the author's writing) then I would be glad to do it. Wolcott does an amazing job describing in simple detail how to be a good academic writer. While the title suggests that the book is for qualitative researchers I think that anybody who wants to write well and enjoy the process can benefit from this book regardless of their field of interest.

In the qualitative research process, the researcher is hard-pressed, in terms of data collection, categorizing, coding and finally, writing up the research data. This book guides the timing and writing up of qualitative research methods. Knowing when and how to write up the research data is imperative for successful dissertations! This is a must-have book for beginning and intermediate researchers! A great value for the price!

I ordered this book for my master's research and I loved the fact that the author can be funny about a topic that is not easy to write about. Rather than reading like a textbook, this book offered insightful and fun ideas for writing a professional paper. At first, I was not happy about the price for a small paperback book, but it was well worth it.

Great book. Helps break down ethnographic research in a digestible and easy to understand format with some humor thrown in to cut the dryness. Greatly appreciate and needed when Creswell texts on Qualitative research are as fun to read as taking a cheese grate to ones face.
