My daughter seems to really like this book. It keeps her interested and entertained for quite some time. I would assume that this book should be read by a 1st/2ed grade level reader if they read it by themselves. My daughter is in kindergarten, and occosanaly has trouble with a few of the longer words. I would definitely order again.

My 4 year old daughter started watching this show and was saying she wanted to be a princess knight just like Nella. This book is a good introduction to the series and is a great way to show girls (and boys) about being a good friend, being courageous, and that girls can have epic adventures too.The length is just right for a bedtime book in my opinion. I gave 4 stars because the story is a little cheesy and didn't make complete sense to me (Nella had to cross an icy crevice in a cave and said she needed a net, but then made a bridge from ribbon, then snow boarded on her shield. Why is there snow in a cave?) I love the idea of this series though and will probably buy more of the books as they come out.
