Not really a red-dot sight. More of an orange-blob sight. Move the selector switch to RED and you are greeted with a fairly LARGE, poorly defined orangish blob that will cover a 4 inch target at 30 feet. Move the selector to GREEN, and the situation improves somewhat in that is is actually green, and brighter than the aforementioned "red".Reflex sights are supposed to improve target acquisition time. While that has been the case with my carbine, this was my first reflex on a pistol.Iron sights are far quicker than this sight, IMO.Under-barrel lasers are quicker than either, if you remember to turn it on and replace the batteries often.In summary, I found this sight to be barely acceptable if you are looking to hit a dinner plate sized target from 30 ft. Just don't look to place those shots quickly.I am sticking with iron sights for my Buckmark for now.

It arrived in a box that had been opened already...so there's that. The red/green dots appear, but won't go off and when you replace the battery, you have to be ready to remove it in order to make the thing go off. I wasn't expecting a much higher quality item or I would have paid $150+...so I can't complain a lot. I just wish when you switched to the off position it would actually turn off. Sometimes it has a problem turning on as well....but again for the price I am not going to flame it out to the world.
